Description The Sports Marketing Specialist supports the continued growth of Sports at WEC, the World Equestrian Centers expanding portfolio of non-equestrian sports facilities and programming. This position serves as the primary marketing liaison between the Sports at WEC operations team and the venues central marketing department, ensuring that all sports-related marketing efforts are strategic, cohesive, and brand aligned. The Sports Marketing Specialist is a hands-on contributor responsible for content development, campaign coordination, and the implementation of a marketing plan including digital, social, and grassroots efforts. While their primary focus will be on Sports at WEC, they may also support venue-wide marketing initiatives as needed. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary marketing liaison for Sports at WEC, maintaining a clear understanding of programming, facilities, and promotional priorities. Support the development and execution of marketing plans that drive program and tournament participation, and facility bookings. Partner with the Senior Manager, Resort Marketing and external agencies to execute paid media campaigns, contributing to audience targeting, messaging, and campaign inputs. Own and manage Sports at WEC social media channels, including content creation, publishing, and day-to-day community engagement. Monitor and respond to guest feedback, reviews, comments, and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner, escalating issues as needed. Write and manage content across digital channels, including website updates, email campaigns, and social media. Collaborate with internal teams (graphic design, video, and project management) to develop and deliver marketing assets on time and aligned with campaign goals. Maintain ongoing production, accuracy and relevance of all Sports at WEC brand content. Support the Senior Manager, Resort Marketing, in advancing integrated resort campaigns that connect Sports at WEC to the broader World Equestrian Center experience. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the sports or recreation industries. Strong copywriting and content development skills with experience creating engaging, on-brand messaging for web, social, and digital campaigns. Understanding of youth and recreational sports, particularly within the soccer landscape, including familiarity with tournament, league, and facility-based marketing. Organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of digital marketing tools including email platforms, content management systems, and social media scheduling software. Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to work as part of a team, team player with a proactive approach and attention to detail.
