Job Description

The PR Marketing Strategist develops and executes integrated public relations and marketing strategies that enhance brand reputation, increase awareness, and support organizational goals. This role is responsible for creating and implementing communication initiatives that engage key audiences, promote the organization's mission, services, and achievements, and strengthen relationships with media, stakeholders, and the community. This role is a hybrid position with the expectation of being onsite in NE Indiana multiple times a week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role, all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. These essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Design and implement integrated public relations and marketing strategies. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, community partners, and key stakeholders. Develop and produce recurring communications such as: Quarterly newsletters and organizational educational features. Create compelling content including press releases, articles, marketing materials, and digital communications. Coordinate media outreach, interviews, and public appearances. Plan and execute awareness, promotional and reputation-building campaigns. Support crisis communication planning and reputation management efforts. Collaborate with leadership and departments to promote organization initiatives and achievements. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Occupational Exposure Risk Classification:
The normal work routine involves minimal exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. The normal work routine has a minimal ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment. The position may require a minimal amount of physical exertion (bending, lifting, twisting) in the work area.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or closely related field. Bachelor's preferred.
Experience:
Prefer two (2) years of professional experience in PR, marketing, or communications.
Certificate or Professional License:
No Certificate or Professional License required. Valid driver's license and active auto insurance coverage.
Travel:
