This is a phone-and-desk-based role where you'll be the go-to resource for customers navigating technical product questions — writing quotes, researching solutions, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to make sure every customer gets what they need. You'll work closely with your Sales team and cross-functional departments (Accounting, Shipping/Receiving) to build customer loyalty by consistently exceeding service and delivery expectations. The best person for this role is a natural problem-solver who's genuinely curious about how things work, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, Open-Book Management culture where everyone sees how their work drives the bottom line. What You'll Actually Do Keep customers at the center of every decision. Write customer quotes and follow through, consistently looking for opportunities to go the extra mile. Monitor inbound phone and email inquiries and respond promptly. Research and answer technical product questions to help customers solve real problems. Work with manufacturers and vendors on product information, availability, and status. Listen to customers, understand their needs, and qualify them against our value proposition. Follow up with customers who need ongoing technical assistance. Take diligent notes on customer profiles — equipment type, parts needed, purchasing process, decision makers, and more. Manage communication across internal departments (Accounting, Shipping/Receiving, Sales). Collaborate with the team to build and hit sales forecasts. Perform other duties as assigned by your manager. A Typical Week Looks Like Expect the bulk of your week centered on inbound customer activity — fielding calls and emails, writing quotes, and researching technical answers.
The rest is proactive:
following up on open quotes, digging into product/vendor details, maintaining detailed customer profiles, and coordinating with other departments to keep orders and forecasts on track. (
Flag:
happy to nail down an actual % split if you want to include one, like the Account Coordinator posting does.) What We're Looking For Must-Haves (non-negotiable): Customer focus — 2+ years in a role responsible for taking care of regular and new customers; B2B experience is a plus. Problem-solving — a technical mind that genuinely enjoys figuring things out. Communication — clear and adaptable across phone and email, with strong listening skills. Team-oriented — fun, positive, and ready to contribute to a scrappy, collaborative culture. Drive for results — accountable for hitting personal and team sales forecasts.
Strongly Preferred:
Experience in industrial refrigeration or a similar technical/industrial field. Experience with a cloud-based ERP system, including inventory management functionality. Knowledge of Open-Book Management practices and a passion for hitting team goals.
Nice-to-Haves:
Solid PC skills, including Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office. Curiosity about how products and systems work — technical aptitude is trainable, curiosity is the signal. Compensation & Benefits includ:
Salary:
$45,000 - $50,000/year dependent upon experience 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family. Unlimited paid time off plus generous company holidays. Employee bonus program tied to company performance. Significant growth opportunity within a growing Sales Team.
