Job Title:
Process Engineering Specialist Job Description This role focuses on transforming complex mechanical and process troubleshooting information into clear, structured documentation that supports an AI-driven initiative. You will work closely with operators and engineers to capture, standardize, and improve technical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong process or mechanical experience who enjoys breaking down complex problems and creating user-friendly guides and workflows. Responsibilities Convert technical troubleshooting information into structured documentation, including flowcharts, investigation guides, and step-by-step procedures. Translate detailed technical content into clear, user-friendly formats using visuals, diagrams, and structured instructions. Partner with operators, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to validate processes and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation. Capture, organize, and standardize technical knowledge for use within an internal AI platform. Support continuous improvement of documentation for equipment troubleshooting and operational processes. Develop and refine workflows that decompose complex engineering problems into logical, easy-to-follow steps. Contribute to training materials and documentation that help users understand and apply troubleshooting processes effectively. Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members to gather information, clarify requirements, and align on documentation standards. Essential Skills Strong mechanical, process, or maintenance-related experience with a focus on troubleshooting. Proven ability to break down complex engineering problems and develop structured workflows and process flows. Experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or supporting process improvement initiatives. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and with diverse stakeholders. Ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, usable content for different audiences. Demonstrated process troubleshooting mindset and structured problem-solving approach. Experience with engineering problem decomposition and flow development. Proficiency in technical documentation and content simplification for training and operational use. Additional Skills & Qualifications Engineering degree preferred, but not required. Experience in maintenance, process engineering, or mechanical engineering. Experience developing training materials or documentation for technical audiences. Comfort working with technology-driven tools and platforms, including AI-enabled systems. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with operators and engineers. Work Environment This is an onsite position working Monday through Friday on a day shift schedule. You will operate in a hands-on environment closely connected to operations, equipment, and technical teams. The role involves regular interaction with operators and engineers, as well as use of documentation tools, visual workflow software, and internal AI platforms to create and manage technical content. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilson, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
