South Hackensack, NJ Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $55,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Retirement plan Paid sick time Qualifications Computer science Computer Science Management Information Systems Research Organizational skills Full Job Description Company Overview POCAS International Corp. is a U.S.-based importer and distributor of specialty food and beverage products, representing brands from Europe, South Asia, China, Korea, and South America. With approximately 85 employees across six regional branches — including our New Jersey headquarters, and offices in California, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, and Texas — we are a dynamic, multicultural company committed to operational excellence and employee well-being. Position Summary We are seeking an AI Transformation (AX) Specialist to join our existing AI/MIS function at our South Hackensack, NJ headquarters and help expand AI adoption and support across the company.
This is a hands-on role:
operating AI agents and bots day to day, learning how each department actually works, and turning that domain knowledge into automation, useful data/Excel outputs, research, and messenger- and email-integrated workflows. This position works alongside our existing AI/MIS staff — it is not a leadership role, and it does not require prior management experience. The company is building out its AI Transformation (AX) capability as an internal technical-support function that any department can draw on for automation, in-house app development, and AI-driven productivity, and this role is a core contributor to that effort. Direct professional experience running AI agents, building automations, or developing in-house tools is preferred but not required. We are equally interested in candidates who may not have a long track record in this space but who are genuinely motivated to build a career here, comfortable learning new tools quickly, and eager to keep adopting new technology as it evolves. Key Responsibilities AI Agent & Automation Operations- Operate AI agents and bots (e.g., Heremes, Open Claw, Orca, Grok Bot, Buzz, and similar tools) for day-to-day research, data gathering, and task automation.
- Build and maintain automated workflows connected to messenger and email systems to streamline business communication and follow-up.
- Prepare and organize Excel-based data outputs and other work products generated through automation.
- Share context and working knowledge of AI agent tools within the team so capabilities are not siloed with one person. Domain Knowledge Capture & Department Automation
- Work directly with each department to learn its specific domain knowledge, workflows, and pain points.
- Translate that department-level knowledge into automation and technical solutions that reduce manual, repetitive work.
- Support research and content-related tasks tied to specific department needs. AI Transformation (AX) Technical Support
- Serve as part of the company's AI Transformation (AX) function, partnering with the existing AI/MIS staff to provide technical support for AI and automation needs across departments.
- Help evaluate and pilot new AI tools, agents, and platforms as they become useful to the business.
- Contribute to a shared, internal knowledge base of AI/automation approaches so solutions can be reused across teams. In-House Application Development
- Support the design and development of in-house applications and internal tools used by company staff.
- Help maintain and improve existing in-house tools as business needs change. Marketing, Media & Design Technology Support
- Provide automation and technical support for marketing tasks, media creation, and design work. Help apply AI tools to content and creative workflows across marketing and related functions. Qualifications
- Comfortable working hands-on with AI tools, chatbots, or automation platforms, even without deep technical training.
- Solid working knowledge of Excel and general data organization.
- Strong research skills and the ability to quickly learn how a new business area or department works.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical colleagues.
- Self-directed, curious, and comfortable continuing to learn new technology and tools on the job.
- Ability to work on-site at the South Hackensack, NJ headquarters. Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience operating AI agents, bots, or automation platforms (e.g., Heremes, Open Claw, Orca, Grok Bot, Buzz, or comparable tools).
- Experience building or supporting in-house applications or internal tools.
- Experience with marketing automation, media creation, or design tools.
- Background or coursework in MIS, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Experience integrating automation with messenger or email platforms. What Success Looks Like
- Departments have clear, reliable automation support for repetitive or manual tasks.
- AI agent and automation knowledge is documented and shared, not held by one person.
- New AI tools are evaluated and adopted where they add real business value.
- In-house app and marketing/media automation requests are supported in a timely, organized way.
- The employee builds broad, transferable technical skills and Pocas's domain knowledge in parallel. Why Join Us
- Join and help grow an existing AI/MIS function at a company actively investing in AI adoption.
- Gain hands-on experience across a wide range of AI agents, automation platforms, and in-house development.
- Build deep cross-departmental knowledge of how an import/distribution business operates.
- Work in a fast-moving, hands-on environment where initiative and continuous learning are valued.
- Be part of a multicultural company with an established U.S. distribution network. Compensation & Benefits
