This hybrid role in Austin, TX lets you shape how a major renewable energy development organization uses digital products, GIS, data, automation, and emerging technologies to improve project execution and decision-making. The Product Owner will serve as the business owner for digital products, systems, and workflows supporting renewable energy project development. Operating at the intersection of business, data, and technology, this role will translate business strategy into product roadmaps, requirements, user stories, and scalable solutions. The Product Owner will collaborate with Development, GIS, Real Estate, Engineering, IT, Data Governance, vendors, and other stakeholders while owning business needs, priorities, acceptance criteria, and adoption. Responsibilities Own product vision, roadmaps, priorities, backlogs, releases, and enhancement strategies for Development digital products. Translate business needs into process maps, user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing scenarios. Lead discovery, design reviews, demonstrations, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and business acceptance. Support CRM, project management, GIS, reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and emerging technology platforms. Identify opportunities to automate and improve Development processes, project visibility, data quality, and decision-making. Define requirements for dashboards, KPIs, data products, visualization, and leadership reporting. Partner with GIS specialists on mapping, spatial analysis, site evaluation, and geospatial data workflows. Evaluate practical applications of AI, cloud technologies, low-code/no-code platforms, and data platforms. Lead cross-functional workshops, vendor evaluations, implementations, user communications, and adoption initiatives. Maintain product documentation, governance records, decision logs, release information, and lifecycle plans. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, GIS, Data Analytics, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 5-10 years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, business systems, digital solutions, process improvement, GIS, data and analytics, or related functions. Experience developing product roadmaps, requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives through discovery, testing, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement. Working knowledge of system integrations, data flows, software lifecycle management, and governance. Experience with CRM, GIS, business intelligence, workflow automation, cloud, data platforms, or AI-enabled technologies preferred. Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, Power Platform, QGIS/GIS, or Databricks beneficial. Renewable energy, infrastructure, project development, real estate, or energy industry experience preferred. Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Austin, TX and travel periodically as needed.
