This is an in-person role based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, supporting both Wusong Road Tiki Bar and Gato Exótico. Wusong Road Tiki Bar and Gato Exótico are looking for a creative, organized Social Media & Holiday Programming Assistant to help grow our brands online and bring our seasonal events to life. This role is ideal for someone with social media experience who is interested in restaurants, nightlife, bars, hospitality, immersive design, and seasonal guest experiences. We are looking for someone who can help us plan content, schedule posts, build a stronger TikTok presence, support online newsletters, and assist with the planning, promotion, decoration, and execution of major seasonal events. This is a hands-on role. You will be working inside both restaurants with our team, capturing content, organizing ideas, coordinating holiday decor, communicating with influencers, helping promote events, and making sure our online presence reflects the energy, food, cocktails, and guest experience of both concepts. About the Restaurants Wusong Road is an immersive tiki bar and restaurant in Harvard Square, known for its cocktails, rum program, hospitality, food, decor, and large-scale seasonal events. Gato Exótico is an immersive Latin-inspired restaurant and bar at CambridgeSide, focused on tacos, margaritas, tropical design, private rooms, and high-energy guest experiences. Together, the restaurants offer a strong creative platform for someone interested in food, cocktails, design, social media, holiday programming, and hospitality marketing. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and maintain social media content calendars for both restaurants Schedule and coordinate content releases across platforms Help develop and grow TikTok and Instagram presence for both brands Assist with content for online newsletters Create, capture, and organize photo and video content inside the restaurants Write captions and assist with researched, accurate, and relevant hashtags Help develop and maintain each restaurant's brand voice and visual identity Assist with basic photo editing and light graphic design using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools Reply to social media messages and comments as needed Coordinate with influencers, invite influencers, and help manage influencer visits Review social media and marketing metrics provided by our internal team, help interpret performance trends, and present clear takeaways that can guide future content, promotions, and event planning Assist with planning major seasonal holiday events and restaurant programming Coordinate decorations, props, vendor communication, timelines, and setup needs for seasonal activations Assist with major programming including Halloween, Christmas, Lunar New Year, Boston Rum Week, graduation season, Cinco de Mayo, Día de los Muertos, Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve, and other special one-off events Help promote events before, during, and after each activation through social media, newsletter content, influencer outreach, and guest engagement Attend and support special events when needed Ideal Candidate Has some experience with social media, marketing, content creation, hospitality, events, or brand promotion Organized and able to maintain both a content schedule and event planning timeline Comfortable with TikTok, Instagram, newsletters, and current social media trends Capable with a camera and basic video capture Some experience with Photoshop, Canva, or similar editing tools Strong written communication skills Comfortable reviewing provided metrics and turning them into simple, useful recommendations Interested in restaurants, bars, tiki, rum, cocktails, tacos, hospitality, decor, and events Comfortable working in busy restaurant environments Able to take direction, collaborate with a team, and follow through on deadlines Creative, but also practical and detail-oriented Comfortable sourcing ideas, coordinating details, and keeping seasonal projects moving Available for occasional additional hours during major events, seasonal programming, influencer visits, and decor installations Schedule and Growth This is an in-person position supporting both Wusong Road and Gato Exótico. The role has the potential to grow into a full salaried position as the brands and programming calendar continue to expand. Additional hours may be needed for special events, holiday programming, influencer visits, decor installations, and major seasonal activations. Compensation $24 to $28 per hour, based on experience, we anticipate 30hrs/week. Additional hours may be available during major holiday programming and special events. About Wusong Road & Gato Exótico Wusong Road and Gato Exótico are immersive restaurant and bar concepts in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our restaurants are built around strong food and beverage programs, detailed design, memorable hospitality, and large-scale seasonal activations. We are looking for someone who can help us tell those stories online while helping support stronger holiday experiences, influencer engagement, newsletter content, social media growth, and guest-facing programming.
