Job Description

Marketing Strategist at Red Shark Digital Marketing Strategist at Red Shark Digital in Cambridge, Massachusetts Posted in 5 days ago.

Type:

full-time About UsRed Shark Digital is a full-service digital marketing agency headquartered in North Carolina, helping businesses connect with their customers through innovative, measurable digital solutions. Our mission is to deliver ambitious growth for like-minded businesses.

Founded in 2013, Red Shark Digital has grown from a small application and web development firm into a multidisciplinary agency offering search engine optimization (SEO), paid advertising, Webflow website design and development, branding, creative services, and digital marketing strategy. We bring together strategy, creativity, and technology to help our clients grow and achieve meaningful results.

OverviewWe're looking for a part-time HubSpot Marketing Specialist to own email execution for a specific set of client accounts. The work is steady and well defined: multiple active campaigns, nurture sequences, and a growing list of one-off sends, all built and deployed in HubSpot.

This role exists because of that client work. It's scoped to it, staffed around it, and grows with it.

You take approved assets and turn them into clean, tested, on-time sends, and you keep the HubSpot side of the account organized so nobody has to check behind you.

Hours:

5 to 15 hours per week, set by campaign volume on the accounts you support. Most weeks land in the middle of that range. Busier campaign months run higher.

Availability:

You need to be reachable and working during normal US business hours (Eastern time). This isn't a nights-and-weekends role.

Location:

Fully remote, US-based.

Type:

Part-time W2 employee, at-will, tied to the client accounts it supports. We're being upfront about that: hours scale with the client work, up when scope grows and down if it shrinks. If the work is there and you're doing it well, the role is there, and we expect it to expand as we bring email work from additional clients under it.

What You'll Own Build and DeploymentBuild emails in HubSpot from approved copy and Figma designs using the drag-and-drop editor and custom modulesMaintain and extend a reusable template system so builds stay consistent and fastSet up nurture sequences and automated workflows, including enrollment triggers, delays, branching, and goal criteriaSchedule and deploy sends on the approved calendar, including weekly one-off sends and multi-touch campaignsSupport the clients' transition from Pardot to

requirementsReporting and CommunicationPull campaign performance from HubSpot (opens, clicks, click-to-open, conversions, list growth, unsubscribes) into a monthly client report that ships with our other channel reportingSend a short weekly internal status update covering what shipped, what's scheduled, and anything at riskTrack action items from the weekly client call that touch HubSpot and close them outLog your hours by client and campaign. work on this account is scoped by the hour, so accurate time tracking is part of the job, not an afterthoughtWhat We're Looking ForHubSpot Experience (required)3+ years hands-on in HubSpot Marketing Hub, Professional or Enterprise tierHave personally built and run recurring email programs in HubSpot, not just sent the occasional newsletterStrong in: email editor and custom modules, workflows, active vs. static lists, subscription types, personalization tokens and smart content, A/B testing, and campaign reportingComfortable with HubSpot's Salesforce integration and how contact and list data sync between systemsWorking knowledge of Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) is a strong plus, since this account is mid-migrationHubSpot Marketing and Marketing Hub certifications are a plus. Experience migrating a client from Pardot (or another platform) to HubSpot is a strong plus.

Marketing CraftUnderstand deliverability fundamentals:

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warmup, bounce handling, and how list quality affects inbox placementKnow how to test rendering across clients (Litmus, on Acid, or HubSpot's preview tools) and fix what breaksHave worked with brand and compliance guardrails where copy cannot be changed without approvalB2B, nonprofit, service or higher education audience experience is a plusHow You WorkThis role only works if you're the kind of person who doesn't need to be managed.

Specifically:

Meticulous. You catch the broken link, the wrong token, the old date in the footer, before anyone else sees it. You keep your own QA checklist and actually use it.

Timely. Sends go out when they're scheduled. If something is going to slip, we hear about it days ahead, not the morning of.

Reliable. Your weekly update shows up without being asked. If you say it's done, it's done and it's been tested.

Organized.

Your HubSpot workspace is clean:

clear naming conventions, campaigns tagged, lists labeled, nothing orphaned.

Clear communicator. You ask the question early when something is ambiguous and you write things down so the team isn't relying on memory.

KPIsSuccess in this role will be measured by:

On-time send rate: emails deploy on schedule, every timeError rate: sends that go out with a broken link, wrong token, or rendering issue (target is zero)

Deliverability:

bounce and complaint rates within healthy ranges, no domain reputation issuesReporting consistency: weekly update and monthly campaign report delivered without promptingLeadership leverage: the account lead can trust the email side is handled without checking inCompensationPart-time W2, paid for hours worked, 5 to 20 hours per week based on client demandFully remote, with resources providedHow to ApplySubmit your resume along with:

Confirmation that you are located in the US, and which stateLinks to or screenshots of 2 to 3 email campaigns or nurture sequences you personally built in HubSpot, with a sentence on what your role was and what the results wereYour HubSpot certifications, if anyYour typical weekly availabilityYour favorite type of shark!

Applications without HubSpot work examples will not be reviewed.

Final NoteThis is a focused role with a clear scope, and we want to be clear about the shape of it. You're not being hired into a general position and assigned wherever we need help. You're being hired to run email for a defined set of accounts, and your hours follow that work. The right person will take a piece of work that currently pulls on senior team members and run it so well that we stop thinking about it, and then we'll hand them more. recblid fr3z1xi15n71byatb1wn4ci0nrho3z
