Job Description

Overview The TCG Product Owner is responsible for guiding the development, cohesion, and direction of TCG releases. This role serves as the bridge between design, production, marketing, organized play, and community teams to ensure successful product releases that align with company/product goals and player expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Define and manage product roadmaps for a variety of TCG product releases. Collaborate with game designers to prioritize mechanics, product features, collectability, and player experience goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Design, Art, Production, Marketing, Organized Play, and Sales. Adhere strictly to product schedules, milestones, and release timelines. Conduct market research and competitive analysis within the TCG industry. Analyze player feedback, sales performance, and engagement metrics to inform product decisions. Work with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure production readiness and inventory planning. Assist in defining monetization, product positioning, and long-term product strategy. Maintain product documentation, release specifications, and stakeholder communications. Support retailer and distributor presentations as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of trading card games, collectible products, and the TCG brand/product landscape. Knowledge of product lifecycle management and product development principles. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to balance player experience, business goals, and production constraints. Familiarity with TCG set structures, rarity systems, and product packaging models. Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Data-driven decision-making mindset with attention to detail. Experience Experience in one or many of: Product Design, Product Management, Game Design, Marketing, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, tabletop gaming, or live-service game development. Experience working in the trading card game, tabletop gaming, or collectibles industry strongly preferred.
