As an IBM Sports and Entertainment Partnership Intern, you'll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic Sports and Entertainment Partnership business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. In addition to your project work, the internship includes learning experiences, networking, social activities, leadership exposure, and mentorship.

Sports and Entertainment Sponsorship Intern projects could include:
  • Designing marketing activations and communications plans to support existing or future partnerships.
  • Researching and documenting the history and evolution of IBM's sports and entertainment partnerships, including key milestones and innovations.
  • Developing partnership profiles that highlight technology deployments, business outcomes, and client engagement opportunities.
  • Creating a centralized database of partnership information, technology launches, innovation milestones, and strategic impact metrics.
  • Developing executive presentations, dashboards, and visual storytelling assets that communicate the value of IBM's Sports & Entertainment Partnerships.
  • Supporting partnership-related events, communications, and strategic initiatives as needed throughout the summer.
This role is based in Austin. We work in a hybrid environment. This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week.

This role is for an internship in Summer 2027. The Internship is expected to start on Monday, May 24th with an end date of Friday, August 13th. Candidates must be available to start and end on these days.

IBM will not be providing Visa sponsorship for these positions now or in the future. Therefore, to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future Visa sponsorship.
  • Required technical and professional expertise
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University
  • Available for an internship in Summer 2027
  • Rising senior for the 2027-2028 school year
  • Basic knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Sports Marketing, Sports Management, brand partnerships, or event marketing
  • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Basic knowledge of problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic marketing knowledge
  • Sports interest/degree/experience
