Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for managing marketing, digital communications, and advertising activities for the Greenville Municipal Auditorium (GMA) on behalf of the GMA Manager. Maintains and updates the GMA website and social media platforms to ensure accurate, engaging, and timely content. Plans, executes, and monitors paid advertising campaigns within the approved marketing budget. Supports box office and event operations as assigned and serves as a client-facing representative when coordinating with rental clients, promoters, and community partners. Minimum Qualifications 1.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2.
Experience:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, digital communications, event promotion, ticketing, customer service, or a closely related field preferred. 3.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Texas Driver License required, or ability to obtain within timeframe established by the City. Essential Job Functions Develops and implements marketing strategies to promote GMA events, rentals, and community programming. Maintains and updates the GMA website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging. Creates, schedules, and monitors content across social media platforms to increase audience engagement and ticket sales. Plans, executes, and monitors paid advertising campaigns across digital, print, radio, and other approved channels. Tracks marketing expenditures and ensures campaigns remain within approved budget parameters. Assists with ticket builds, show setup, seating configurations, and box office system updates as assigned. Provides event-day support in box office and front-of-house operations, including customer service and issue resolution. Coordinates with rental clients, promoters, vendors, and community partners regarding event logistics and promotional opportunities. Tracks campaign performance metrics and prepares reports with recommendations for improvement. Represents the Greenville Municipal Auditorium and the City in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge of Marketing principles, branding standards, and audience engagement strategies. Social media platforms, content scheduling tools, and website content management systems. Advertising methods, campaign analytics, and budget management. Ticketing systems, customer service practices, and event operations. Business communication and stakeholder relationship management. City policies and procedures. Skills in Written and verbal communication. Content creation, editing, and digital storytelling. Project management and deadline coordination. Customer service and conflict resolution. Using Microsoft Office and marketing-related software applications. Physical Demands / Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office environment with low to moderate noise level. Subject to sitting for an extended period, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting and putting away such items as records, promotional materials, ticketing supplies, and event materials of moderate weight up to 50 pounds.
