Business Operations Intern Interstate Companies, Inc. United States, Wyoming, Gillette 10750 Wyoming 59 (Show on map) May 15, 2026 Paid Summer Intern - Operations & Process Improvement Interstate Power Systems | Gillette, WY Interstate Power Systems is hiring college-level paid interns to support our Gillette, Wyoming location this summer. This role offers hands-on experience in operations, process improvement, and business systems while working alongside experienced professionals in the power systems industry. This is a paid, temporary summer internship. What You'll Do Assist with day-to-day operations, service, parts, or administrative support
Help identify and improve internal workflows and processes
Support Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) for better efficiency and communication
Assist with organizing and streamlining Work-in-Progress (WIP)
Help create basic documentation, reports, or process updates
Support special projects as assigned What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a college or technical program
Interest in operations, business processes, analytics, IT, or efficiency improvement
Comfortable learning and using technology and systems
Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S. What You'll Learn How to apply Lean or Six Sigma principles to a professional service environment
Hands-on experience managing the Operational Technology that keeps a business running
The ability to transform raw administrative data into actionable operational insights Schedule & Pay Paid internship (competitive hourly wage)
20-40 hours per week (flexible based on availability)
Summer duration: May-August (dates flexible)
On-site in Gillette, WY Additional Information Temporary, at-will position
Not eligible for company benefits due to internship status
