Junior Product Developer Mfused - 1.6 Scottsdale, AZ Job Details Full-time $65,000 a year 15 hours ago Qualifications Production documentation Full Job Description Company Overview MFUSED is more than a cannabis company — we are a collective of innovators, creators, and builders who believe in the power of cannabis to inspire new experiences and improve lives. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and proudly founded in Seattle, Washington, we have grown from a passionate local startup into one of the most recognized cannabis brands in the country. As Washington's largest processor and one of the fastest-growing brands in Arizona, we are proud to be minority-owned and committed to shaping the future of cannabis. At MFUSED, creativity thrives alongside discipline. We challenge ourselves to think boldly, experiment fearlessly, and then transform those ideas into products that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Our team members don't just follow trends — they set them. Joining MFUSED means joining a workplace where curiosity, collaboration, and innovation are celebrated every day, and where every role directly contributes to products enjoyed by thousands of people. The Role The Junior Product Developer is a hands-on cannabis product development role focused on creating, testing, refining, and commercializing formulations. The ideal candidate understands cannabis through real-world experience and is comfortable working with cannabis oils, cannabinoids, terpenes, flavor systems, and vape hardware. This role works closely with Product, Quality, Compliance, Operations, Supply Chain, and outside formulation partners. What You'll Do Develop, test, document, and scale cannabis vape formulations from concept through commercialization. Work with cannabinoids, extracts, terpenes, and flavor systems to improve flavor, consistency, and performance. Conduct sensory evaluations and use results to refine formulations. Direct outside terpene and flavor partners, evaluate samples, and provide feedback on revisions. Help evaluate and consolidate formulation vendors based on quality, consistency, cost, and capability. Evaluate formulation and vape hardware interaction and troubleshoot performance issues. Partner with Quality and Compliance to ensure formulations meet company and state requirements. Maintain formulation specifications, testing results, and COGS documentation. Identify opportunities to improve products and reduce costs without sacrificing quality. What You Bring 3+ years of hands-on experience in cannabis formulation, extraction, product development, or R D. Direct cannabis vape formulation experience strongly preferred. Experience working with cannabinoids, extracts, terpenes, and flavor systems. Ability to create, document, troubleshoot, and scale formulations for commercial production. Strong sensory, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Experience working in a regulated cannabis lab or production environment. College degree in food science, chemistry, life sciences, or a related field is a plus, but hands-on cannabis experience is more important than formal education. Must be 21+ and meet state licensing/background requirements. Physical Demands / Work Environment This is an onsite role based in Scottsdale, Arizona; regular presence in lab and production environments is required. Must be able to fully engage senses — see, touch, taste, and smell — when developing cannabis products. Work involves exposure to cannabis and cannabis-derived materials. Requires repetitive tasks such as mixing, measuring, weighing, recording data, and operating lab equipment. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and spend extended periods standing or moving during development activities. Ability to work with delicate ingredients and hardware components, requiring precision and fine motor skills. Must balance creativity with compliance and safety in all processes. Fast-paced, start-up style work environment requiring adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail. Occasional travel may be required. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement MFUSED is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
