Life:
In the position of Product Owner, Salesforce TPM, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and owning Salesforce-based trade promotion management (TPM) capabilities that support promotion planning, execution, and financial accuracy in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) environment. Work closely with internal functions to ensure TPM solutions meet business needs and are delivered in a reliable, usable, and scalable way.
The Impact You'll Make:
Define and manage the TPM product vision and roadmap by maintaining a prioritized backlog of enhancements, fixes, and new capabilities to support promotion planning and trade spend management. Work directly with Sales, IT, and Finance to gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria that Salesforce teams can implement effectively. Collaborate daily with Salesforce Engineering to clarify requirements, review designs, and support development and testing to ensure TPM functionality is delivered as intended. Ensure TPM solutions support real-world promotion workflows, including planning, approvals, execution tracking, and changes, so business users can manage promotions efficiently. Partner with Finance to ensure TPM supports accruals, claims, deductions, and settlement processes accurately and consistently across systems. Support system testing and user acceptance testing by validating scenarios, coordinating feedback, and confirming readiness prior to Salesforce releases. Support user adoption by gathering feedback, identifying pain points, and recommending improvements that increase usability and business value. Help ensure promotion, product, and customer data used in TPM is accurate and aligned with upstream and downstream systems to support reporting and decision-making.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience working with Trade Promotion Management processes and Salesforce-based sales systems in a CPG environment may be considered in lieu of a specific degree. 5+ years of experience in working with TPM processes in a CPG or consumer products environment, including promotion planning, approvals, trade spend, accruals, and settlement. Between 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce-based sales or TPM systems in a product owner, business analyst, or similar role. Proficient with Microsoft office Salesforce certifications related to administration, business analysis, or industry solutions are a plus. Product Owner, Product Management, or Agile-related certifications are also beneficial. Certifications are preferred but not required and do not replace hands-on TPM experience. The role requires comfort working with Salesforce users, reviewing requirements, validating system behavior, and partnering closely with technical teams. Familiarity with sales, trade finance, and basic integration concepts is expected. Experience should include hands-on involvement with how promotions are planned, executed, and financially reconciled.
