Product Manager, Internal Tools Brighton - 3.8 City of Industry, CA Job Details Full-time $135,000 - $145,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Requirements specification Requirements design System design for system development Requirements analysis Requirements management Agile software development Project stakeholder communication Design (software development lifecycle) Technical product management within tech Agile planning Full Job Description About this role Our stores run on relationships. So does our wholesale business. Behind both is a set of internal tools living within our intranet environment that our teams rely on every single day, and right now, those tools have a huge amount of untapped potential. We're looking for a Product Manager who will own that opportunity end to end: someone who brings real technical depth, sharp strategic instincts, and the confidence to push back when an idea isn't ready for the roadmap. You'll work directly with Directors of Stores and individual store managers to understand what's happening on the floor, translate that into product decisions, and partner with engineering to build and ship. What you'll do You'll own the product roadmap for our internal tooling suite, including our clientelling platform used across our retail store network and our wholesale web portal, both of which live within our intranet environment and serve internal users across retail and wholesale operations. That means setting vision, prioritizing ruthlessly, and driving delivery end to end. You'll work directly with Directors of Stores, store managers, wholesale partners, and internal stakeholders to surface needs, define requirements, and translate them into well-scoped technical solutions. You'll set the vision for what these tools should be and why, make the hard calls on what gets built and what doesn't, and hold the line on quality and direction through delivery. You're here to make sure the right things get built in the right order, and that the team always knows why. Responsibilities Own the product roadmap for our clientelling tool and wholesale web platform, both of which live within our intranet environment and serve internal users across retail and wholesale operations Evaluate incoming requests strategically, assessing timing, scope, and business impact before committing to the roadmap Communicate prioritization decisions clearly to stakeholders and push back when sequencing does not serve the broader product strategy Partner with Directors of Stores and individual store managers to stay close to frontline needs and translate them into product decisions Work closely with engineering to scope solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and drive delivery Define and track success metrics for your products Manage backlog prioritization and incoming requests across multiple workstreams Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within our internal tooling ecosystem Build strong relationships across the org to stay close to what teams actually need You should have 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on internal or operational tools A technical background that lets you go deep with engineers, think through system design, and write clear, detailed requirements (not just UX and front-end work) Experience building or managing products within intranet or internal enterprise environments Proven ability to make and defend prioritization decisions, including deferring or declining work that does not align with current strategy Experience working across multiple levels of an organization, from executives to frontline operators Comfort navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to loosely defined requests Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Understanding of the full software development lifecycle Comfort reading pseudo-code and engaging in substantive technical discussions Strong written and verbal communication skills A bias toward shipping and a track record of delivering complex products We'd love if you have Experience in a retail or wholesale head office environment Familiarity with clientelling, CRM, or store operations tools Experience with vendor management Background in data platforms or familiarity with SQL We offer Competitive salary and incentives Inclusive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision Generous paid time off Opportunity to work on products that directly impact how our stores and wholesale partners operate every day Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative and innovative work environment About Brighton In 1972, our founders Jerry and Terri Kohl set out with a simple but bold idea: create beautifully crafted accessories that feel personal, meaningful, and made to last. They believed that artistry matters and that customers should be treated like lifelong friends. That belief still fuels us today. At Brighton's headquarters, you'll find a community of passionate creators, problem-solvers, and innovators. Our buying team imagines what's next, our account specialists and shipping experts keep our nationwide network moving with precision, and our in-house artisans bring each design to life with extraordinary skill. We even have dedicated teams who restore and refresh beloved pieces so they can continue their journey with the people who cherish them. Joining us means stepping into a place where heritage craftsmanship meets forward-thinking design. We're a company grounded in heart, yet always reaching for what's possible. Here, you're not just part of a brand, you're part of building the future of retail, one thoughtfully crafted handbag, necklace, and charm at a time.
