The Boeing Company is looking for a Cloud Platform Manager to join the team in Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; El Segundo, CA; Mesa, AZ; San Diego CA; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO. The Cloud Platform Manager will lead and grow the Cloud Foundations and Developer Experience (DevEx) teams, owning delivery of the enterprise cloud control plane, account/subscription governance, identity & policy frameworks, reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and the developer-facing self-service experience. You will set strategy and priorities across Foundations and DevEx, ensure high-quality handoffs to runtime and ops teams, remove cross-team blockers, and drive adoption of standardized cloud practices that improve velocity, security, and compliance. This is a people and program leadership role with strong expectations for technical judgment and cross-functional influence.Position Responsibilities:
Own the combined roadmap and delivery priorities for Cloud Foundations and DevEx, aligning with enterprise cloud strategy and platform goals Lead, mentor, and scale teams responsible for landing zone architecture, account provisioning, identity & access patterns, policy integration, golden Terraform modules, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) templates, and the internal developer portal Ensure Foundations delivers secure, auditable, and reusable control-plane IaC, account provisioning automation, and identity/governance patterns consumed by platform consumers Ensure DevEx delivers developer-facing golden paths: reusable modules, pipeline templates, self-service provisioning workflows, portal User Experience (UX), and documentation that reduce friction and shadow infrastructure Define and enforce cross-team operability and security requirements for artifacts produced by DevEx and Foundations; own acceptance criteria for production handoffs to Runtime Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)/Cloud Ops Drive strong collaboration among Foundations, DevEx, Platform Acceleration, Runtime SRE, Cloud Security/Policy, and Cloud Architecture to eliminate silos and align implementation with reference architectures Sponsor and monitor metrics for adoption, policy compliance, provisioning lead time, and developer experience; iterate priorities based on telemetry and stakeholder feedback Represent the Cloud Platform organization in architecture reviews, risk assessments, vendor evaluations, and executive updates Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party offerings where appropriate; balance buy vs build tradeoffs Establish lifecycle practices: module versioning, deprecation policy, change control, and documentation standards Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, Development Operations (DevOps), and/or related technical roles 5+ years of experience with multi-cloud providers (Azure/ AWS / GCP experience desirable) and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, modules, registries) 3+ years of experience in people management and/or cross-functional leadership 3+ years of experience leading teams that deliver cloud landing zones, account/subscription governance, identity/federation patterns, and/or developer self-service platforms 3+ years of experience aligning technical roadmaps with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements Experience owning and/or partnering on developer portals, CI/CD templates, and self-service provisioning workflows Experience delivering production handoffs and operating cross-team delivery processes Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with stakeholder management and communication skills while being able to translate technical tradeoffs to business leaders Experience in regulated environments and/or with compliance frameworks relevant to enterprise cloud platforms (e.g., Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)) Experience with policy-as-code (Azure Policy, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Configuration, Open Policy Agent (OPA)), identity federation (Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)/OpenID Connect (OIDC)), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models at scale Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), CI/CD systems, and portal/UX technologies Experience with metrics-driven product management and developer experience measurement (NPS, adoption, lead time)Conflict Of Interest:
