Summary The Associate Product Developer is responsible for supporting the product development team and process across multiple categories and brands. The Associate Product Developer coordinates the process from the initial proto meetings through to finished product at the manufacturer. Ensures that intended design aesthetics, quality, and delivery schedule have been achieved. General Responsibilities Support the development and execution of assigned product lines from proto through to production Work closely with the Product Development team, Creative Director, and Merchandising Manager to maintain product development schedule, sample development, timelines, and tracking tools including WIPs Support tasks including updating Master Data files ensuring accuracy and data integrity of seasonal style information, CAD boards, and updated Visual Line Plans (VLPs) Work closely with Design in reviewing prototypes and development submits for approval Partner with Product Developers to ensure costing and margin targets are achieved and accurately reported on Master Data Attend bi-weekly calls with Asia manufacturing team to facilitate and expedite the development process Support product reviews at all stages including prototypes, photo samples, sales samples, and pre-production samples Proof workbook catalog and packaging for accuracy Support organization and hand-off of photo samples internally to support GTM process Coordinate and maintain relevant fabric, trim, and sample library by season Manage salesman sampling, literature, and catalog development for successful GTM strategy Collaborate with overseas office to ensure proper material and durability testing is completed Assist in product testing and wear testing process during development Assist in meeting setup including organizing samples and printing documents Prepare and communicate all comments to overseas team Proof and update tech packs Create and update seasonal WIPs Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Design, Technical Design, Development or related subject preferred Two to three years experience in product development with strong understanding of technical design or product development Experience in accessories, active apparel, knitwear, soft goods, and embellishments preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed to communicate with international teams Exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational and project management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Thorough knowledge of category technologies and general manufacturing principles General knowledge of quality assurance methods Ability to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Illustrator Ability to manage multiple seasonal calendars in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Benefits Hybrid work setting Wellness focused work environment, casual/lifestyle apparel work attire, one hour paid fitness time per week.
