Product Manager | Weldonit WeldonIT Southfield, MI Job Details 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) matching Qualifications Business development management Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Become an intricate part of the Thyssenkrupp Materials NA organization, as our newest Product Manager role - learn about the dynamics, the science of our ThyssenKrupp Materials, NA SS products, help maintain and develop new relationships with current and new customers with our Sales, Purchasing and Quality teams. The remote Product Manager - Stainless Steel will… Report to our Product Director and help drive supply chain solutions with customers, using extensive product and supply base knowledge in responsible products to maximize profitability and sales positioning in the market.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain deep product expertise Function as internal product expert for both purchasing and sales activities. Provide product training / education to sales and purchasing teams In conjunction with Outside Sales, contact new and existing customers Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product Educate customers in making product selections based on their needs, specifications, and applicable regulations. Work with sales districts to develop Sales/Marketing Plan Support the development and evaluation of the organization's sales force (field and inside sales) to achieve established sales and profit goals. Establish and maintain positive relationships with external firms Responsible for quoting and supporting sales contracts. Have a deep understanding of the supply markets, including contact and general costing information. Establish supplier relationships at all levels, including senior management. Support buyers and purchasing managers Create goals for inventory objectives in their products Support purchasing as a backup to replenish inventory. Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Extensive sales/business development experience, product knowledge and expertise. Extensive metals industry knowledge - prefer steel BA/BS required in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business related field; Continuing professional development. Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, product management and management roles.
