Job Description

We are partnering up with a Utility, EPC Contractor who is looking to hire an immediate Safety Professional to support a long term 3-5 year 150 mile Transmission Line project (Northland Reliability Project) across the MN territory.

Per Diem Rate Monthly truck stipend - $1375 / month Highly Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of transmission line or substation safety oversite for larger EPC/GC or Owner Utility CHST or CSP certification Will be the full time site safety rep overseeing sub contractors for major EPC projects. This need is for T-line build projects. There is a major T-Line build project starting this year. 1)Northland Reliability Project, "T-line" refers to a major proposed high-voltage electric transmission line being developed by Minnesota Power and Great River Energy. Specific details of this T-line include:
Scope:
It is an approximately 150-mile, double-circuit 345-kV transmission line. Michels is doing the line, foundations, and matting / ROW work. Small handful of subs for rebar / concrete. Bulk is Transmissions and Foundations work.
Route:
The infrastructure stretches from central Minnesota to northwestern Wisconsin.
Timeline:
3-4 year project. Additional Skills & Qualifications Someone with field experience as a full time safety manager on large substation, t-line, utility projects. Experience with incident investigation and building relationships with the crew / subs. T-line/substation safety management / oversight experience for a
GC / EPC
/ Owner Ability to travel nationally Need sub contractor management experience Good with IT - reporting of safety activities, incidents, etc. Good with using tablets / computer for this work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Cloud, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
