Job Description

The Product Specialist, Hardware Solutions will assist product managers in the process of improving existing products and with the process of developing new products. Their span of influence will cover panels, keypads, translators, repeaters, sensors, and other products. They will help obtain intelligence on the security industry through researching industry trends, conducting sales team and customer surveys, reviewing industry reports, and attending industry events.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop a deep understanding of all DMP products by working with DMP product managers, engineering team members, and technical support personnel. 2. Participate in customer visits and discussions to identify and fill product gaps while generating new ideas to help grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth. 3. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with engineering, software quality assurance, internal and external customers providing clear direction, planning, clarification, guidance,decisions, status, and issue resolution. 4. Create detailed product specifications, based on direction from Product Managers. 5. Assists Product Manager to create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners. 6. Assists Product Managers in prioritizing activities based on business and customer impact. 7. Assists with the collection of market intelligence by working with customers and the market in which we operate-Security, Access Control, Video, and Fire. 8. Works closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver quality products, services, training, and support with quick time-to-market. Drives product launches. 9. Represents DMP by attending trade show events and visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services. 10. Reviews and assists in the creation of technical documents, promotional plans, marketing and training materials to ensure they are consistent with the product line strategy. EOE/Disabled/Vet
