Job Description
We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Salesperson - Off-Price to lead business development and category ownership within the off-price channel. This individual will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with major off-price retailers such as Burlington Stores, Ross Stores, and TJX Companies (including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc.).This role requires a blend of sales acumen, product development expertise, and strong retailer relationships, with full ownership over a specific category.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development Identify and secure new business opportunities across the off-price retail channel Leverage existing relationships and build new connections with key buyers Drive revenue growth through strategic account expansion Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retailers Present seasonal concepts, product lines, and opportunities aligned with retailer needs Negotiate pricing, margins, and delivery timelines Product Development Partner with internal design and production teams to develop product lines from scratch Translate retailer needs into commercially viable assortments Ensure product meets cost targets, quality standards, and timeline requirements Category Ownership Own and manage a specific product category end-to-end (development through sales) Analyze sales performance and market trends to inform future strategies Drive category growth and profitability Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with design, sourcing, and production teams Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal execution Qualifications 5+ years of experience in off-price sales or wholesale apparel Proven track record working with major off-price retailers (e.g., Burlington, Ross, TJ Maxx) Strong understanding of product development and costing Ability to build product lines from concept to final delivery Existing buyer relationships strongly preferred Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Salary $150,000
