Job Description

Overview A client of ours is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Product Manager to lead the development and expansion of its small commercial insurance portfolio. This role is central to driving growth through the creation of competitive, scalable insurance products. The ideal candidate brings deep small commercial underwriting expertise along with a strong "producer mindset"-someone who understands how to design, position, and package products to succeed in the market while maintaining underwriting discipline. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Development Lead the design, development, and enhancement of small commercial insurance products, including: General Liability (GL) Professional Liability (PL) Business Owners Policy (BOP) Cyber Liability Employment Practices Liability (EPLI) Directors & Officers (D&O) / Management Liability Commercial Crime, Surety, and Fiduciary coverages In addition you will help develop bundled and packaged solutions that combine multiple coverages into competitive offerings as well as identify underserved market segments and create tailored product strategies to drive growth. In addition, they are looking for someone to assist on defining product appetite, pricing considerations, and underwriting guidelines. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in small commercial underwriting (carrier or MGA environment preferred). Direct experience in insurance product development and design. Strong expertise in one or more commercial lines Deep understanding of insurance forms, coverage structures, and endorsements.
