Job Description
The Crohn s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary :
The Foundation has an exciting opportunity available for an intern to support the IBD Ventures team in assisting the planning and execution of the funding proposals submitted to our team while also providing support on the planning for the annual IBD Innovate meeting. This would involve careful timeline tracking, managing of incoming proposals and notifications to applicants, website design, and interactions with our Marketing Department for all activities. The intern would develop a very good understanding of the approaches that IBD Ventures takes to identify new product opportunities for IBD patients. The intern will report into the Senior Director of IBD Venture Investments and work closely with the entire IBD Ventures team. They will be responsible for supporting the Foundation s venture philanthropy program designed to increase product development in therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health. This is an 8-week paid Internship opportunity, running from June 8 - July 30, 2026 with 29 hours/week anticipated. This is a hybrid internship with 2 days/week in the Foundation's New York City office and the remaining work remote.Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
Working with website design software, create a new website for the 2026 IBD innovate Conference. This would include linking all necessary registration information and full meeting agenda. Coordinate with Marketing all meeting advertising. Manage incoming preproposals for multiple Request for Proposals for IBD Ventures. Work with group colleagues to utilize AI for initial review and prioritization of proposals. Assist group colleagues in preparation for full proposal reviews. Support outreach efforts to gather new stories for the database. Other duties as required.Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or similar in Biology, Chemistry, Finance or Marketing. Ability to effectively learn software associated with Foundation website design and ProposalCentral Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and interact professionally with Foundation colleagues and outside vendors and researchers Strong organizational and writing skills Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented and organizedSimilar remote jobs
