Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager / Business Analyst with strong experience in Municipal Finance, capital markets, or financial services. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of banking products, processes, and technology, with direct Municipal Finance experience strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial Banking or Financial Services domain experience and a strong product management or business analysis background will also be considered. The role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior leadership by translating complex business requirements into clear product strategies, functional requirements, and technology solutions. The position will define product roadmaps, gather and prioritize requirements, manage stakeholders, and drive initiatives from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead product management and business analysis activities for financial services and banking-related products and platforms.
- Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technology teams, and senior leadership to define business objectives and product requirements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements documentation.
- Translate complex financial and business processes into clear requirements and actionable technology solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, data, and UX teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, process mapping exercises, and stakeholder meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, data quality, and customer/user experiences.
- Manage competing priorities and ensure product initiatives remain aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and root-cause analysis to support product and technology decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, success criteria, and product performance metrics.
- Support UAT planning, test-case development, defect triage, and business sign-off.
- Present product strategies, requirements, status, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and impediments and drive issues through resolution.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role within financial services.
- Strong understanding of banking and financial services business processes.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and translating complex business requirements into technology solutions.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycles.
- Experience developing product roadmaps, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in Municipal Finance.
- Experience in capital markets or related financial services environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
