IN OFFICE.
Cloud Operations Manager( 14+ years) Cloud Operations or CloudOps, Program Manager, Delivery Manager, AWS, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Cloud Engineers, Service Reliability Engineers (SRE), Network Engineers, Database Administrators to deliver new infrastructure required for new software components using Infrastructure As a Code (IAC) automation. Ensure system reliability and scalability, and implement best practices for security, monitoring, and cost management The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Cloud Engineers, Service Reliability Engineers (SRE), Network Engineers, Database Administrators to deliver new infrastructure required for new software components using Infrastructure As a Code (IAC) automation. Ensure system reliability and scalability, and implement best practices for security, monitoring, and cost management. This role requires strong technical expertise in AWS services, as well as leadership and strategic planning skills. The Cloud Operations Manager will partner with Program and Project Managers, Business Project Team, Software Technology Leads, Third-party Vendors, and External Stakeholders to help define IT Operational model, as well as ensuring proper capabilities are in place for Production Maintainability & Supportability.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute long-term cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, including migration plans, scalability needs, and innovation roadmaps. §
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance on operational excellence and technical innovation. §
Automation:
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. §
Security Compliance:
Enforce strict security measures, compliance standards, and data protection protocols within the cloud environment. §
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Ensure 24/7 availability of cloud systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis. §
Performance Optimization:
Continuously review and enhance application performance, ensuring low latency and high availability. §
Cost Optimization:
Monitor and manage cloud spend, identifying opportunities for cost-saving without compromising performance. §
Innovation:
Regularly evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations to improve cloud services or integrate cutting-edge solutions. §
Proactive Risk Management:
Identify potential risks or vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure and preemptively address them. §
Compliance Leadership:
Stay updated on regulatory changes and enforce adherence to applicable laws and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2). §
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align cloud operations with organizational goals. §
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with AWS and third-party vendors to leverage new features, resolve service issues, and ensure optimal service agreements.
Qualifications:
§
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). §
Experience:
Total of 14+ years of IT Experience for large enterprises §
Relevant Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud environments and leading cloud operations teams. § Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams §
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of cloud architecture, AWS services and solutions §
Tools & Automation:
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.). §
Certifications:
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer (preferred). §
