Job Description

Description Platform Product Owner, Agile Tooling Ecosystem Location :
Hybrid work arrangement with preference for Johnston RI, Boston, MA or Iselin, NJ requiring 4 days on-site, 1 day remote. Role Overview As the Platform Product Owner, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise Agile tooling ecosystem, including platforms such as Atlassian, TargetProcess, and Confluence. This role operates at a portfolio and enterprise level, enabling consistent, scalable, and governed use of Agile tools across business lines. You will not be embedded within a single delivery team. Instead, you will operate above the delivery layer, partnering with EPMO, Agile CoE, engineering, and business stakeholders to define how Agile tooling supports enterprise delivery, governance, and reporting. Your focus will be on platform enablement, operating model alignment, and scaling capabilities across the organization. Primary Responsibilities
  • Define and own the enterprise vision and multi year roadmap for Agile tooling platforms, aligned to business and technology strategy
  • Establish governance models, standards, and usage frameworks for Agile tools to ensure consistency across portfolios and business units
  • Drive enterprise scale adoption and maturity of Agile tooling, enabling standardized workflows, reporting, and delivery transparency
  • Partner with EPMO, Agile CoE, and senior stakeholders to align tooling strategy with portfolio management, SDLC, and PDLC frameworks
  • Prioritize platform capabilities and enhancements based on enterprise needs, balancing stakeholder input with long term platform strategy
  • Enable integration across the Agile tooling ecosystem, including connections to portfolio management, financial systems, and reporting platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define and support automation and integration use cases, without direct ownership of technical build
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for platform effectiveness, including adoption, consistency, and delivery insights
  • Support change management, training, and enablement efforts to increase adoption and usage across the enterprise
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise governance, risk, and compliance requirements within a regulated financial services environment Required Qualifications
  • 7 plus years of experience in Platform Product Ownership, Product Management, or enterprise tooling strategy roles
  • Proven experience owning and scaling Agile tooling platforms across enterprise or multi portfolio environments
  • Experience operating within centralized structures such as EPMO, Agile Center of Excellence, or enterprise transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, PDLC, and portfolio level governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic level, influencing stakeholders across business and technology organizations
  • Experience working with Agile tooling platforms such as Jira, TargetProcess, and Confluence at an enterprise level, with a focus on governance and scaling rather than administration
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts across technical and non technical audiences Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving Agile transformations or enterprise tooling strategies within large, regulated organizations
  • Exposure to automation, integrations, and workflow optimization across Agile platforms
  • Working knowledge of query or scripting concepts such as JQL, with the ability to partner effectively with technical teams
  • Experience enabling reporting, metrics, and portfolio visibility through Agile tooling ecosystems
  • Background in financial services or similar regulated industries What This Role Is Not
  • Not a Jira or Atlassian administrator role
  • Not a Scrum Master or embedded team level Product Owner This is a platform strategy and enterprise enablement role focused on scaling Agile tooling capabilities across the organization.
