Hybrid schedule:
2 days remote / 3 in‑office Competitive pay + generous PTO Medical, dental & vision starting day one 401(k), tuition reimbursement & longevity bonuses Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to support the strategy, performance, and ongoing development of our Commercial Insurance portfolio. This role works closely with business leadership to evaluate portfolio results, develop underwriting strategies, maintain underwriting guidelines, and identify opportunities for profitable growth. The Product Manager serves as a key resource in translating business objectives into actionable strategies. This includes analyzing portfolio performance, researching market and competitive trends, supporting product and process enhancements, and monitoring the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. This position is well-suited for a commercial insurance professional with a strong underwriting or product background who enjoys using data, market insight, and industry knowledge to influence business decisions. What You'll Do Partner with line of business leadership to develop, document, and maintain underwriting and product strategies. Analyze portfolio performance, key business metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities and recommend actions. Monitor the effectiveness of underwriting and product initiatives, measuring results against established objectives. Collaborate with internal business analysis teams to evaluate performance and refine strategies based on results. Maintain and version-control underwriting guidelines, product documentation, and strategic enhancements. Conduct competitive and market research to support product decisions and identify emerging opportunities or risks. Support the design, development, and implementation of process and system changes aligned with business strategies. Work with training and marketing teams to develop communications, training materials, and resources supporting product initiatives. Stay informed on state regulations, legislative changes, and compliance requirements that may impact product strategy and underwriting guidelines. Support ad hoc analyses and strategic projects related to portfolio management, underwriting performance, and business growth. Qualifications What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree preferred in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Five or more years of Commercial Insurance Product Management or Underwriting experience. Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting principles, and portfolio management. Experience analyzing business performance and using data to support strategic recommendations. Knowledge of insurance market trends, state regulations, and compliance requirements. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments. Comfortable working in a matrixed environment and managing multiple priorities.
Salary Range:
$98,000 - $198,000 USD In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a short‑term, performance‑based incentive bonus. In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
