Product Manager I positions offered by General HVAC Solutions America, Inc. (Addison, TX). Consult on potential product development opportunities and product improvements. Create short- and long-term product roadmap by understanding product gaps, competitive landscape, regulations, market trends. Work with third-party suppliers including Component Manufacturers, Technology Providers, Vendors, and Logistics Providers to enhance the long-term product portfolio and maintain competitiveness in the market. Manage the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to effectively bring new products to market through a multi-phase gate process, engaging stakeholders for all parts of the business. Act as a liaison between internal departments such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Service, and Training, as well as external parties including Distributors, Contractors, End Users, and Third-Party Vendors. Perform market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify product opportunities and assist strategic planning. Develop detailed PRDs (product requirement documents) by understanding technical feasibility, market needs, physical limitations, and direct effect on company revenue. Manage product life cycles by establishing a short and long-term vision for products. Work with the engineering team to prioritize the development of products and features by monitoring conformance to specifications, cost, schedule, and risk factors. Create and maintain product pricing, online catalogs, and product documentation, including submittals, product announcements, application bulletins, and marketing collateral. Provide product and sales support by explaining product benefits and features, both internally across teams and externally to customer-facing representatives. Provide in-depth technical product support to Fujitsu Regional Sales Managers, Manufacturer Reps, Distributors, Contractors, and End Users/Homeowners through dedicated communication channels. Create and update records of market pricing history and competitor benchmarking for residential products. Provide technical product data to ensure compliance with national and local codes, including ASHRAE standards and EPA regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Product Manager I, Product Specialist, Mechanical Engineer or related occupation. In lieu of a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a masters or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated. This position requires experience with the following: o Python for workflow automation and process optimization; o Using CRM, ERP, and PLM platforms to manage product data and workflows; o UL, AHRI, DOE, and ASHRAE standards; o Ensuring products meet design safety guidelines, applicable codes and efficiency requirements; o Delivering executive-level reports and presentations to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex technical and market information; o Collaborating across engineering, sales, marketing and operations to align product strategy and execution; o Developing and implementing organization-wide technical documentation, tools and operational processes to drive consistency; o Leading cross-functional teams, managing all phases of Product Development Process (PDP), and applying Waterfall and Adaptive Project Management methodologies); o Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VBA automation), PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (including Excel and Tableau); o Advanced expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, airflow principles, and refrigeration cycles, with practical application in HVAC system design and performance analysis; o Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including product categories, applications, and market trends. Employer will accept experience with skills gained through coursework or work experience. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
