Product Lead Manager —
Radar Systems Location:
Boulder, CO Degree:
Bachelor's (Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred)Salary Range:
$155,000 - $210,000 / year Overview We are in search of a Product Line Lead (PLL) to establish and implement the strategy, roadmap, and technical direction for a collection of cutting-edge radar technologies . This position is suited for a leader with a strong technical background and strategic mindset who excels at the intersection of engineering, product management, and mission fulfillment . The PLL will oversee the development of radar products from inception to obsolescence, ensuring each product aligns with customer needs, supports future missions, and remains competitive in the defense and aerospace industries. Core Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Create and sustain product line strategies that align with customer demands, market patterns, and company capabilities. Develop and execute a long-term roadmap for radar systems and subsystems that meet current and future mission requirements. Translate strategic goals into tangible technical development plans. Product Lifecycle Management Lead diverse teams through product development, production transition, and maintenance activities. Ensure products meet cost, performance, and schedule goals independently from the Market Segment Lead. Supervise configuration management, risk mitigation, and lifecycle optimization for radar systems. Capture & Proposal Support Collaborate with business development teams to identify, shape, and secure new opportunities. Lead or contribute to proposal efforts and RFI responses, ensuring strong technical strategies, competitive positioning, and alignment with customer expectations. Cross-Functional Leadership Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management teams. Foster collaboration, resolve technical and programmatic issues, and maintain clear communication across stakeholders. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Engage directly with customers and end-users to comprehend mission needs and technical requirements. Collaborate with program managers, who oversee contracts, to concentrate on the execution and innovation of radar product strategies . Technology Stewardship Maintain awareness of advancements in radar and RF technologies and integrate relevant innovations into design processes and product structures. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master's preferred) 10+ years of relevant experience in defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and programs In-depth technical knowledge of RF components , such as amplifiers, attenuators, phase shifters, and mixers Proficiency in RF signal budget analysis for metrics like gain, noise figure, and power Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex hardware systems Proficiency in Python or another technical programming language Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers) Familiarity with PCB design and assembly (Altium Designer preferred) Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting complex technical ideas clearly Awareness of emerging RF and radar technologies and ability to integrate innovations into ongoing product development Preferred Qualifications Experience with RF front-end design and antenna design/testing Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, FEKO, CST, Microwave Office) Hands-on experience with phased array antenna systems — design, integration, or operation Understanding of electronic attack and protection techniques Advanced degree in engineering or a related technical fieldWork Environment Full-time:
40 hours/week; typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible based on workload and management discretion)Travel:
