Senior Location:

Remote within CONUS; must be available to report to DOT HQ in Washington, DC within one business day if requested Position Summary Serve as the primary technical lead for BOAT/low-code application implementation, including workflow automation, UI development, integrations, authentication/RBAC, testing support, and production readiness. Key Responsibilities Design and implement BOAT/low-code workflows, intake forms, case tracking, routing, document upload, and user interfaces Support integrations with DOT MyAccess, Login.gov, APIs, RBAC, and

FMCSA/DOT

data platforms Participate in technical design, user stories, demos, testing, defect resolution, and release activities Support UAT, performance optimization, accessibility, and production deployment Apply secure development practices aligned with DevSecOps, FISMA/NIST, privacy, and audit requirements Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and sustainment artifacts Qualifications 8+ years of software development, workflow automation, low-code/platform development, or cloud application delivery Experience with BOAT, BPM/workflow, case management, API integrations, or enterprise orchestration platforms preferred Familiarity with federal DevSecOps, FISMA/NIST compliance, ATO support, UAT, and production releases preferred Strong collaboration skills with architects, business users, security teams, and product owners

AWS, API

integration, document management, RBAC, and workflow orchestration experience strongly preferred Additional Requirements Must support federal delivery standards, agile/DevSecOps practices, secure handling of Sensitive PII, Privacy Act compliance, NDA/background requirements, and remote/on-site availability expectations.
