Sensory Manager DSJ Global - 4.0 Knoxville, TN Job Details $120,000 - $130,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Research design Sensory evaluation Full Job Description Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Sensory Manager to lead and evolve its sensory evaluation program. This role will be based out of Knoxville, TN. This individual will oversee sensory strategy, panel management, and data-driven insights to support product quality and innovation initiatives across the organization. This role partners cross-functionally with Quality, R D, Marketing, and Operations to translate sensory data into actionable business decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a sensory team including coaching and performance management Manage sensory programs, facilities, budgets, and external vendors Establish and maintain sensory standards (visual, physical, and descriptive) and methodologies Oversee sensory panels and support multi-site sensory initiatives Partner cross-functionally to support quality and innovation efforts Support new product development through sensory & consumer insights Analyze and interpret sensory data to guide business decisions Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or related field 5+ years of sensory or consumer science experience in food & beverage manufacturing Experience in statistical analysis and experimental design Strong understanding of consumer insights and sensory methodologies Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills across Quality, Innovation, and Supply Chain
