Job Description
C.H. Robinson is seeking an Ocean Product Manager to lead quality execution, oversight, and strategic direction for import and export global forwarding operations. In this role you will coach, plan, lead, and direct ocean product operations while driving performance, consistency, and operational excellence across the team. You will play a key role in developing talent, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring teams are equipped to deliver in a demanding, fast-paced global forwarding environment. This is an opportunity for a highly organized, relationship-focused leader to make a meaningful impact across ocean operations and business execution. At C.H. Responsibilities:
- The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: + Lead, coach, and develop ocean operations teams through training, feedback, and performance reviews + Foster accountability, professionalism, consistency, and a customer-focused team culture + Oversee service delivery, SLA adherence, process execution, and accurate invoicing + Partner with leadership, sales, clients, global teams, and vendors to resolve issues and improve service + Lead pricing, process, and service negotiations that support customer needs and business growth + Monitor performance, financial metrics, forecasts, and scorecards to drive efficiency and cost control + Resolve complex customer, carrier, port, CFS, forwarder, and broker challenges + Support new business onboarding through proper setup, SOPs, and operational readiness + Share industry, trade, market, regulatory, and process updates with teams and customers + Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, service quality, and customer relationships •
Required Qualifications:
- + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum 5 years of ocean product experience + Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience + Strong industry operational excellence experience + Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally) + Fluent level of English (oral and written communication)
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university + Demonstrated collaboration, influence, relationship building, and negotiation skills + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency presenting to both internal and external audiences + Financial management experience and ability to understand and communicate financial metrics + Experience consulting with multiple stakeholders across varying organizational levels, both internally and externally + Strong organizational and problem solving/critical thinking skills, and ability to lead others through executing a plan + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment We will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
