Full Job Description Director of Product Management:
mophie About Mophie Mophie, a leading brand in mobile power solutions, is dedicated to keeping consumers powered up wherever life takes them. As a pioneer in portable charging, wireless solutions, and innovative mobile accessories, Mophie's products are trusted worldwide for reliability, style, and performance. We're passionate about pushing boundaries and delivering world-class experiences that keep people connected. Position Summary We're looking for a seasoned, outcomes-driven Director of Product Management to own the roadmap and end-to-end execution of our mobile power accessories portfolio under the Mophie brand. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with full accountability for product outcomes, including cost, schedule, and quality, not just roadmap definition. This role is ideal for a product leader who is equally comfortable setting strategy and making hard execution trade-offs to deliver results. You will oversee a talented team of product managers and collaborate cross-functionally to bring innovative and market-leading solutions to life. You'll be responsible for shaping the future of Mophie's flagship products, from concept through launch, ensuring we meet consumer needs, hit business and financial goals, and maintain a strong position as a brand and partner in our key accounts. Key Responsibilities Own the long-term product vision and multi-year roadmap for Mophie's mobile power portfolio (power banks, wireless charging, wall adapters, cables, battery cases, etc.). Translate consumer insights, competitive analysis, market trends, account insights, and business goals into clear product strategies and investment priorities. Make decisive roadmap trade-offs across features, cost, timing, and complexity to maximize business impact. Partner closely with engineering, industrial design, marketing, sales, and Asia-based product development teams to own on-time and on-budget delivery of new products. Own product financials, including
COGS, BOM
targets, and margin performance, and make trade-offs required to meet them. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering growth, accountability, and innovation. Define and track key performance metrics to ensure product success and continuous improvement, and scale PM operating rhythms, tools, and processes as the portfolio grows. Serve as the primary product point of accountability for internal stakeholders and executive leadership. Present strategy and roadmap updates to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Champion the voice of the customer and advocate for design and usability excellence. Qualifications 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant technical degree preferred. Proven track record of launching successful consumer packaged goods, with experience in hardware products such as mobile accessories, power products, or adjacent product categories a plus. Experience leading and scaling product teams, ideally within fast-paced or growth-stage environments. Demonstrated accountability for cost, schedule, and quality outcomes, not just roadmap definition, with experience accelerating or reducing the time to market and experience reducing total manufacturing cost. Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen. Experience working closely with engineering, operations, sourcing, and contract manufacturers. Excellent executive communication and presentation skills. ```
