Job Description

About the Role RVLock is seeking a Product Developer to help bring innovative consumer products from concept to production. Working closely with our Product Development team and overseas manufacturing partners, you will support the design, engineering, prototyping, and launch of new products while helping improve existing ones. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with manufacturers, and seeing products move from sketches and CAD models into production. Responsibilities In this role, you will create 3D CAD models and production drawings, support product development projects from concept through manufacturing, and work directly with offshore suppliers to communicate design requirements and resolve technical issues. You will apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout development, evaluate prototypes and production samples, and assist with product testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities. Required Qualifications 3+ years of product development experience in consumer products Proficiency in SolidWorks Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Understanding of plastic injection molding and die-casting design Experience creating manufacturing drawings and specifications Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Ability to create professional presentations and product documentation in PDF format Strong project management and organizational skills, including experience using project management software Strong communication and problem-solving skills Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and product development workflows Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the year, including trips lasting up to one month Portfolio submission required Preferred Qualifications Mandarin language ability Rhino 3D surfacing experience Experience working directly with Asian manufacturing partners Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing Consumer electronics or connected product experience Portfolio Requirement To be considered for this position, applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing relevant product development work, including CAD models, manufactured products, prototypes, engineering documentation, or other examples of their contribution to consumer product development. Work Environment & Expectations This role will work closely with international development and manufacturing partners, including teams in China. Because of this, some non-traditional work hours will be required to accommodate time zone coordination, product launches, troubleshooting, and urgent technical escalations. This is not a traditional 9-5 operational role. We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, adaptable, and excited about helping build and scale a rapidly growing connected product ecosystem. Pay:
$69,716.45 - $83,959.60 per year
