As a Product Manager on the Financial Systems team, you'll occupy a central position in shaping the future of our invoicing platform, which powers billing operations across every product Indeed monetizes globally. Your work will directly impact revenue accuracy, customer experience, and the operational efficiency of our Finance, Sales, and Billing organizations. Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end process of building, owning, and maintaining products and features within the Invoicing domain. Partnering closely with Finance, Engineering, Sales Operations, Tax, and Revenue Accounting teams, your role will be instrumental in modernizing how Indeed bills its customers, recognizes revenue, and resolves disputes at scale.   • Responsibilities
  • + Partner with engineering teams and Finance business partners to define the invoicing product strategy, prioritize the roadmap, and deliver scalable billing solutions aligned to broader revenue and finance objectives.
+ Communicate product vision, roadmap direction, priorities, and tradeoffs to Finance leadership, engineering partners, and cross-functional collaborators to drive alignment and informed decision-making. + Be the voice of internal and external customers, advocating for the needs of Billing Operations, Collections, Sales Operations, and end-customer billing experiences while balancing business, regulatory, and technical considerations. + Identify, define, and monitor product goals and success metrics such as invoice accuracy, billing cycle time, dispute volume, days sales outstanding (DSO), and operational cost per invoice to measure impact and guide prioritization. + Drive product discovery and execution by leveraging data insights, customer interviews, and process analysis to inform decisions and optimize invoicing performance across multiple regions, currencies, and entities. + Partner across Financial Systems, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Compliance teams to navigate ambiguity and support delivery across interconnected initiatives such as revenue recognition, tax compliance, and audit readiness. + Provide clear written and verbal updates on roadmap progress, risks, priorities, and outcomes to Finance and Engineering leadership.
  • Skills/Competencies
  • + Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
+ Experience delivering products within financial systems, billing, invoicing, ERP, or order-to-cash domains + Working knowledge of accounting and revenue concepts, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accounts receivable, GL postings, multi-entity and multi-currency billing, and tax determination + Proven ability to analyze data using SQL and BI tools to investigate billing anomalies, measure product performance, and inform roadmap decisions + Experience designing API-driven integrations across billing, ERP, CRM, payment, and tax systems, with understanding of data contracts, idempotency, and reconciliation patterns + Familiarity with audit, SOX, and financial controls requirements, including impacts to controls testing, segregation of duties, and audit trails + Comfort partnering with finance, accounting, and compliance teams to translate regulatory and policy requirements into product specifications within high-accuracy environments where defects directly impact revenue
