Job Summary We are seeking a 5G/6G Wireless Communications Researcher to support advanced research and industry standardization for connected mobility and next-generation communication technologies. This position will focus on 3GPP 5G/6G standards, wireless communications research, and connected vehicle technologies. The role will also involve collaboration with internal teams, external research partners, and industry organizations. Opportunities for patents and academic publications may be available. Key Responsibilities Contribute to 3GPP 5G/6G standardization, including RAN1 and RAN2 activities. Conduct research and development in wireless communication technologies for connected mobility. Research technologies such as Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC). Prepare technical contributions, invention disclosures, patents, and academic publications. Attend and participate in domestic and international 3GPP standardization meetings. Propose and lead research projects with internal and external partners. Present research findings and technical updates to research teams and management. Contribute to industry standards and organizations such as

SAE, ETSI, IEEE

802, 5GAA, and AECC. Support additional research projects as needed. Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for standardization meetings. Required Skills & Experience Research and development experience in wireless communications. Experience with wireless communications for automotive or connected vehicle applications preferred. Experience contributing to 3GPP standardization, preferably within RAN1. Strong patent or invention record related to 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies. Strong knowledge of wireless communications at Layer 1 and Layer 2. Solid understanding of 4G LTE, 5G NR, and 3GPP standardization processes. Knowledge or experience with Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) preferred. Ability to learn and research new technologies. Strong time management and task prioritization skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with international audiences and technical teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.

From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
