Full Job Description Overview:

Apogee Engineering is seeking a Tools & Techniques Research Engineer who provides research engineering support across software, hardware, and complex devices for Foreign Material Exploitation (FME), including reverse engineering and AI/ML integration.

•Contingent Upon Contract Award

Responsibilities:

Perform software, hardware, or complex device reverse engineering using standard FME workflows and tools (e.g., Ghidra). Evaluate, test, and integrate ML models and LLMs into engineering workflows (code similarity, binary triage, image artifact reduction). Use Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines to package and deploy software updates. Support networks maintained at different classification levels Develop systems architecture documentation and integration plans for multi-classification environments Provide technical recommendations on cross-domain solution implementation and security requirements Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD and IC standards Support the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for cross-domain solutions

TS/SCI Education/ Years of Experience:

8+ years experience and Bachelors degree in science or engineering. Strong engineering and software development background. Experience in FME or related exploitation domains. Hands-on use of multiple RE tools.
