Job Description

High Five Media is excited to announce an opening for a Paid Search Intern to support our growing digital marketing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and curious individual who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and using numbers to help guide decisions. As a Paid Search Intern, you will work closely with our current Digital Strategist and assist with data analysis, campaign research, reporting, and other day-to-day tasks that support our paid search department. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in digital advertising and is especially interested in the analytical and data-driven side of marketing. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into numbers, identifying trends, asking thoughtful questions, and using data to better understand campaign performance. Prior paid search experience is not required, but a strong interest in digital marketing, analytics, and critical thinking is important. This internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world agency experience while learning how paid search campaigns are researched, analyzed, managed, and optimized.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
Assist with reviewing paid search campaign performance, identifying trends, and organizing data to support campaign decisions and optimization.
Campaign Research:
Conduct keyword, competitor, industry, and market research to support paid search strategy and campaign development.
Reporting Support:
Assist in gathering, organizing, and reviewing campaign performance data for internal and client reporting.
Performance Monitoring:
Help monitor key paid search metrics and identify areas that may require additional analysis or attention.
Data-Driven Decision Support:
Work with the Digital Strategist to evaluate campaign data and help inform recommendations based on performance.
Quality Assurance:
Review campaign information, reports, spreadsheets, and other materials for accuracy and consistency.
Paid Search Department Support:
Assist the Digital Strategist with additional research, analysis, administrative tasks, and other responsibilities needed to support the department.
Performance Standards:
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and an analytical mindset. They should be comfortable working with numbers and interested in understanding why campaigns perform the way they do. The ideal candidate will take a data-driven approach to problem-solving and show a willingness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve.

Strong attention to detail Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Analytical and data-driven mindset Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and performance data Ability to identify trends and draw conclusions from data Strong organizational and time-management skills Willingness to learn paid search and digital advertising platforms Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other digital marketing platforms is a plus but is not required.
Working Conditions:
The Paid Search Intern will work from our High Five Media office and will support the digital marketing team Monday through Friday. This position will be scheduled for up to 30 hours per week , with the specific weekly schedule determined based on availability and department needs.
