Description Search Optimization Specialist
We are seeking a Technical AIO/SEO Specialist to join our Ecommerce team. This role will be responsible for improving RC Willey's visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms through technical optimization, data analysis, content collaboration, and ongoing performance monitoring. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of SEO, AIO, GEO, technical website performance, and evolving search technologies.
Hourly Range:
$25-26 per hour, dependent on experience
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday in office (Salt Lake City), Friday work from home Key Responsibilities
Technical
SEO & AI
Search Optimization Conduct technical SEO and AIO audits and recommend improvements. Implement best practices related to crawlability, indexing, site architecture, page speed, mobile performance, and Core Web Vitals. Optimize website content and technical elements for both traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences. Manage schema markup, metadata, URL structures, and other technical SEO components. Identify and resolve technical issues that impact organic visibility and site performance. Analysis & Reporting Monitor website traffic, rankings, search visibility, and user engagement metrics. Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for growth and optimization. Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate results and recommendations. Present findings and performance insights to management and business stakeholders. Collaboration & Strategy Partner with content, marketing, merchandising, and development teams to execute search optimization initiatives. Support landing page development and website user experience improvements. Help develop and maintain SEO/AIO documentation, standards, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to internal marketing teams. Continuous Improvement Stay current on industry developments, including SEO, AIO, GEO, LLMs, and search engine algorithm updates. Conduct regular site audits and performance reviews to ensure ongoing optimization. Support local SEO initiatives to improve visibility for RC Willey store locations. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of experience in SEO, search marketing, digital marketing, or a related role. Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and local SEO principles. Experience using SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, Conductor, Optiversal, or comparable tools. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO. Experience troubleshooting technical website issues and implementing optimization recommendations. Understanding of schema markup, structured data, URL management, and site architecture. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience optimizing websites for multi-location businesses. Familiarity with AI-powered search platforms, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and emerging AIO best practices. Experience working with ecommerce websites and large product catalogs.
