Job Description

Senior Paid Search Manager 1000bulbs.com - 3.2 Garland, TX Job Details Full-time $67,019.53 - $80,711.69 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Spreadsheets Google Tag Manager E-commerce SQL Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising Data-driven problem-solving Marketing analytics Paid search marketing Full Job Description Senior Paid Search Manager (E-commerce) 1000Bulbs.com is America's largest independent online lighting retailer, based in Garland, Texas. We have been in lighting for more than 30 years. We own the supply chain from production to distribution, and we also run our own delivery fleet across DFW. Two very different customers buy from us through the same account. One is a home owner replacing an outdoor light for their home and checks out online in ten minutes. The other is a contractor, property manager, or facilities buyer working through a major commercial retrofit, and that five-to-six-digit deal usually closes over the phone with a rep after a 2-month quote. Same ad account, same budget, wildly different economics. We are looking for a Senior PPC Manager to own that account end to end: structure, bidding, measurement, and results. Who This Is For Most people do not read the search terms report for fun. You filter it to match type = AI Max, pull it through the API, n-gram it on a Sunday because you had a hunch, and find the query pattern that has been quietly eating budget. You know when a seasonality adjustment is right, when a data exclusion is right, and when the honest answer is to leave both alone and let the account relearn. You bid on margin instead of revenue, and you have the supplemental feed to prove it. When attribution and the ERP disagree, you go find out why instead of writing "variance" on a slide. And when someone quietly changes what a conversion action counts as value, you know exactly what happens next: the targets are still calibrated to the old numbers, ROAS reads as broken, and spend pulls back for two weeks before anyone connects the two. You know because you have lived it. Role Overview

•

Job Title:

Senior PPC Manager / Paid Search Manager (E-commerce)

•

Reports To:

VP of Marketing

•

Budget Oversight:

Full ownership of paid search spend across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

•

Department:

Marketing

•

Location:

Garland, TX. This is an onsite, in-office position. Not hybrid, not remote. Key Responsibilities

•

Budget Ownership:

Manage and allocate the paid search budget across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to hit KPI targets. You set the targets, allocate the budget, and answer for the return.

•

Performance Max & Shopping:

Own PMax structure at scale: asset groups, listing groups, Final URL Expansion controls, and campaign consolidation. Know when PMax is the right tool and when Standard Shopping wins.

•

Conversion Tracking & Measurement:

Own the full conversion architecture, including GA4, GTM, offline conversion import, enhanced conversions, and consent mode. Diagnose signal problems and fix them. Reconcile platform-reported revenue against actual NetSuite revenue and explain the gap.

•

Offline & Phone Revenue:

Build the pipeline that passes real closed order value from our call tracking platform back into Google. A meaningful share of our revenue closes by phone, on orders that run well into five and six figures.

•

Feed Management:

Manage and troubleshoot large-scale product feeds through

Google Merchant Center:

product taxonomy, feed rules, custom labels, and disapproval resolution across thousands of SKUs.

•

B2B / B2C
Segmentation:

Structure and bid separately for two very different buyers. Our typical online order and our commercial quotes differ by more than an order of magnitude. Build an account that treats them differently.

•

Automation & Scripts:

Use the Google Ads API, scripts, and bulk operations to manage an account too large to run through the interface.

•

Automation & Scripts:

Use the Google Ads MCP to constantly pull data into Claude and turn this into actionable insight.

•

Executive Reporting:

Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting to the VP of Marketing that separates media performance from business-side effects. Leadership reads these reports and makes decisions from them. Platform-Specific Focus

•

Google Ads:

Performance Max, Standard Shopping, Search with AI Max, Demand Gen, and Smart Bidding (tROAS / Maximize Conversion Value). DSA auto-migrates to AI Max in February 2027 and we want a plan for it, not a surprise.

•

Microsoft Ads:

Search, Shopping, and audience targeting, roughly 15% of total spend.

•

ChatGPT Ads:

A new channel we are testing into. Placement runs on conversation context rather than keyword match, the measurement story is immature, and there is no established playbook. You would be building our approach from scratch.

•

StackAdapt:

Programmatic display, radio, native, and CTV. We have a foothold and want it grown into a real channel rather than a line item, which means proving incremental value instead of accepting last-touch credit for it.

•

Measurement Stack:

GA4, Google Tag Manager, Merchant Center, call tracking integration, offline conversion import. Qualifications & Skills

•

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on e-commerce paid search experience, personally managing enterprise-scale spend. Not agency oversight. Direct account management.

•

Technical Mastery:

Deep understanding of conversion tracking architecture, offline conversion import, enhanced conversions, server-side tagging, and privacy-first measurement. You should be able to explain why a conversion action's reported value changed and fix it.

•

Analytics Tools:

Proficiency with GA4, Google Ads API or scripts, Looker Studio, and Merchant Center diagnostics.

•

Data Processing:

Working SQL for joining ad platform data against ERP revenue data, plus advanced Excel/Sheets.

•

Preferred:

Experience with B2B or considered-purchase models where revenue closes by phone; call tracking integration; taking an account in-house from an agency; distribution, industrial, or trade catalog experience.

•

Mindset:

Highly analytical, diagnostic, and comfortable telling executives when the data does not support an assumption.

Pay:

$67,019.53 - $80,711.69 per year

Work Location:

In person
