Job Description
Our mission at 97th Floor is to elevate people and brands we believe in. That's what we're focused on when we help our clients meet their marketing goals and lead people to brands and products they need. You'll thrive here if you're motivated to do work you're proud of, you enjoy close collaboration, and you're naturally curious about how search engines and AI search actually work. We've partnered with companies like AT&T, Oatly, eos, and Zoom. And now we're looking for someone who wants to dive into organic search with curiosity, motivation, and genuine excitement to learn. What You'll Do Work on a team with a content marketer, advertiser, designer, and your manager — the account director. Your team works with about 7-10 clients. You will support the organic search strategy for your clients' sites, focusing on: Content Strategy Conduct keyword research Conduct AI prompt research to help determine demand within the prompt sets your content marketer builds for AI search. Assist with content mapping — checking whether existing pages are a strong semantic match for a given AI prompt, and flagging gaps where new content may be needed. Keep learning — algorithm changes, platform updates, and the fast-moving world of AI-driven search. Technical Fixes Complete regular technical health check-ins on client sites (using the team's technical monitoring template) to catch crawl or indexing issues early. Run SERP analysis on new content and optimizations to spot schema opportunities and SERP features worth targeting. Internal Linking Help identify new internal linking opportunities (target page, referring page, and suggested anchor text) for your team to recommend. Backlink Acquisition Apply link quality-assurance criteria when reviewing potential referring sites for backlink opportunities. Results Tracking and Monitoring Monitor keyword rankings and AI visibility in STAT, review Google Search Console for technical issues, and help keep monthly reporting up to date. Learn business models and bottom-line factors for your clients, and start connecting search performance to what actually matters to them. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field (preferred, not required) 1-2 years experience with SEO Experience in Google Workspace/Excel, especially Google Sheets Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, or keyword/rank-tracking tools (STAT, Ahrefs, or similar) is a plus Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter who is always trying to learn more in an ever-changing environment A growth mindset — constantly learning, testing, and evolving with the industry
