THE ROLE
We are a fast-growing home services company operating across multiple markets in Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. We are looking for a driven, analytical SEO and PPC Manager to own our digital presence from search to map pack — someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do and takes genuine pride in the performance of their work. This is not a set-it-and-forget-it role. Our business moves fast, priorities shift, and the digital landscape changes constantly. WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Paid Search (PPC) Day-to-day management and optimization of Google Ads campaigns across all active markets — search, LSA, and Performance Max Microsoft Advertising (Bing) campaign management Budget pacing, bid strategy, keyword expansion, negative keyword management, and ad copy testing Conversion tracking setup and maintenance via Google Tag Manager and GA4 Weekly and monthly performance reporting with clear takeaways and recommended actions Local Services Ads (LSA) management including lead review, dispute management, and profile optimization SEO Ongoing on-page optimization across all market pages and service pages Page buildouts and weekly website additions to improve organic ranking Schema markup implementation and maintenance — including FAQ, HowTo, LocalBusiness, and review schema Backlink strategy — identifying opportunities, outreach, and tracking Google Business Profile management across all branch locations — including new profile verification, post cadence, Q&A, photo updates, and review monitoring Review velocity strategy — driving consistent review acquisition across all locations as a local ranking signal Local map scan analysis using Local Falcon or equivalent tools Technical SEO — site health monitoring, crawl error resolution, page speed, Core Web Vitals SEMrush (or equivalent) audits — keyword research, competitor analysis, content gap identification Competitor monitoring — tracking where competitors rank in search and appear in AI-generated results Staying current on algorithm updates and adjusting strategy accordingly Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Optimizing content to appear in Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, and People Also Ask results Structuring page content so AI systems (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview) can extract, cite, and summarize our brand as a direct answer Writing and formatting content in a question-and-answer structure that satisfies both human readers and AI retrieval systems Tracking AI citation share and brand mention frequency across AI platforms — including manual testing on ChatGPT and Perplexity and monitoring AI referral traffic in GA4 Understanding how
AEO, GEO
(Generative Engine Optimization), and traditional SEO work together as a unified strategy Reporting & Analytics Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership a clear picture of channel performance GA4 configuration, event tracking, and AI referral traffic monitoring Translate data into plain-language insights for non-technical stakeholders Contribute conversion rate optimization (CRO) insights on landing pages that receive paid and organic traffic•
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years managing both SEO and paid search — not one or the other, both Demonstrated understanding of AEO and how AI-powered search is changing organic visibility Proven track record of improving organic rankings and reducing paid CPA in competitive local markets Deeply analytical — you live in the data and can explain what it means to someone who doesn't Self-directed — you identify what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked Comfortable with change — priorities shift quickly here and you adapt without losing momentum Strong communicator — you can write a clear report and explain a complex idea simply Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture Comfortable with ownership — you take pride in your results and are equally comfortable when leadership makes a change to the strategy•

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
At 90 days — you have a clear understanding of every active campaign, every GBP location, and our current SEO and AEO baseline. You've identified the top opportunities and have a plan in motion. At 6 months — organic traffic is trending up, paid CPA is at or below target, we are appearing in AI-generated results for relevant local queries, and you're delivering reporting that leadership actually reads and uses. At 1 year — you own this channel completely. Pay:
