Job Description

Search Engine Optimization Manager Integrity Marketing Services Kirkland, WA Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $100,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications WordPress Search engine optimization (SEO) strategy development Keyword research English Digital marketing SEO Google Search Console Google Analytics Full Job Description Integrity Marketing Services is a nine-person marketing agency in Kirkland. We build websites and run SEO, Google Ads, hosting, and content for Washington trades and home-services businesses: painters, roofers, glass, drywall, paving, masonry, HVAC, remodelers, plus a handful of professional-services and education clients. We are small, senior, and unusually well instrumented. Rank tracking, Search Console, GA4, call tracking, and our billing system all feed one internal knowledge platform, so you will not spend your week assembling reports by hand.
That is deliberate:
we want the SEO seat spent on strategy and technical work, not data entry. The role This is the senior SEO seat. You own organic delivery end to end, with real independence. You are not joining a stack of SEOs to be handed tickets: you are taking the function. That covers a retainer book in the low twenties, a queue of signed engagements waiting to start weighted toward full technical and content audits, and one SEO content writer who reports to you. You will have a backlog on day one. We would rather you read that here than discover it in week three. Clearing it is most of the first ninety days, and it is why we are hiring at this level rather than a rung below. Where the lines are You own SEO end to end with two exceptions: our content writer produces the copy to your brief, and our web team builds the pages and implements site changes to your spec. You are not writing two-thousand-word blogs and you are not in the page builder. You decide what gets built and why, you write the spec, and you QA what comes back. If you want a job where you are hands-on-keyboard in WordPress all day, this is not it. If you want to run the strategy and have people to execute it, it is. What you will do Own the monthly retainer engine. Keyword strategy, on-page and local optimization, GBP, citations and NAP consistency, internal linking, and the monthly client report. Most of these clients are local service businesses competing across a handful of Puget Sound cities, so location-page architecture and local pack performance are the core of the work. Run audits and strategy for new engagements. Full technical and content audit, keyword and competitor map, and a roadmap before recurring work starts. Own the technical side. Migrations and launches, redirect mapping, schema, crawl and index diagnosis, Core Web Vitals, and the SEO half of every website launch. You do the diagnosis and write the spec; our web team implements it on WordPress and WP Engine; you QA the result. You are the person who makes sure a new site launches without losing what the old one earned. Direct the content writer. Set the roadmap, write the briefs, QA what comes back. Speak to clients directly. Monthly and quarterly strategy calls and the honest version of "here is what moved and what did not." These are owner-operators; they want plain answers, not a dashboard walkthrough. Keep the playbook current. SEO has eleven documented procedures in our SOP library and you own them. What we are looking for 4+ years doing SEO, with at least two managing multiple clients at an agency You can run a full technical audit yourself and defend every finding, not "I ran the tool and sent the PDF" Real local SEO depth: GBP, citations, NAP, multi-location and service-area architecture. This is most of our book You have owned a site migration or major launch and know exactly what goes wrong Comfortable in Search Console and GA4 at a diagnostic level, not just a reporting one You can hold a strategy call with a business owner and be believed You can work without someone checking your work. This seat ships client-facing deliverables on its own judgment On-site in Kirkland five days a week. Not hybrid, not remote.
Nice to have:
WordPress and WP Engine hands-on; SE Ranking, Screaming Frog or equivalent; trades or home-services clients; Google Ads literacy; interest in AI search visibility How we work with AI. Every person here runs an AI agent connected to our internal knowledge system, and we use it heavily for research, briefs, and analysis. We are not looking for someone who outsources judgment to it, and not looking for someone who refuses to touch it. What success looks like 90 days: the signed-but-unstarted backlog is cleared or scheduled against dates the client has actually been told, every retainer client has had a strategy touch, and you have run at least one audit end to end. 6 months: the retainer engine runs on your cadence without anyone chasing it, the content writer is producing to your brief, and you can point at rankings and lead volume moving for a named set of clients. Benefits Kaiser Permanente PPO medical and Delta Dental, company pays 50% of the employee premium effective the first of the month after 60 days.
SIMPLE IRA
with up to 3% match after one year. Paid vacation on a tenure ladder plus paid holidays. Our office is walking distance to downtown Kirkland and the waterfront. Integrity Marketing Services is an equal opportunity employer.
