Job Description
Social Media Internship Help us go viral! We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to support our digital marketing efforts. In this role, you will define and create a Program Recommendation of effective strategies to generate and grow followers on key social media platforms by assessing opportunities and making recommendations for a New Program to support brand followers as well as community-specific followers. You will recommend and implement tactics and tools including but not limited to content generation, schedule posts, and engage with online communities across various platforms. You will analyze and report out trends, track performance, and contribute fresh ideas to develop and grow our online presence. The ideal candidate is familiar with social media platforms, has strong communication skills, and enjoys staying up to date with digital trends. You should be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Social Media Intern Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and present Program Recommendation for new strategies designed to generate brand and community followers, stimulate engagement and identify growth potential to attract new followers and lift visibility. Create, schedule, and publish social media content across various platforms based on approved Program Recommendations. Monitor social media channels for engagement, comments, and messages, responding in a timely and professional manner. Identify new opportunities, strategies and tools to boost engagement with followers on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and X. Research and identify current social media trends and hashtags to increase engagement. Track and report on social media metrics, such as follower growth, engagement rates, and content performance. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency in tone and style. Lead creating visuals, graphics, and multimedia content using design tools. Stay updated on new social media features, tools, and best practices for each platform. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for content and campaigns. Support influencer outreach and partnerships, as needed. Learn internal software systems and assist in the development of performance reports. This is a Part-Time Internship role with an initial scope of approximately 6 months.Social Media Intern Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong understanding of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok). Strong understanding of social media paid advertising versus organic content. Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative mindset with a passion for digital content creation. Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with social media trends and best practices. Previous internship or experience in social media or digital marketing is a plus but not required. Travel to communities as needed.
