Job Description

We are seeking a creative and proactive Digital Marketing Specialist to support our storytelling, brand presence, and community engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who can capture real moments, turn them into meaningful content, and consistently manage our digital platforms. Key Responsibilities 1. Content Capture (Photo & Video) Capture high-quality photo and video content across Symba sites, events, and programs Identify and document meaningful moments that reflect our mission and impact Coordinate with staff to plan content opportunities 2. Content Creation Edit and produce engaging content (Reels, short-form videos, posts, etc.) Develop storytelling-driven content aligned with Symba's voice and values Repurpose long-form content into short-form assets 3. Content Calendar & Social Media Management Maintain and execute a consistent content calendar Schedule and post content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) Monitor engagement and optimize posting strategies Qualifications Experience in content creation (photo, video, editing) Proficiency with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends Ability to tell compelling, mission-driven stories Organized and able to manage multiple content streams Passion for community impact and social good Someone who sees stories others might miss Someone who can balance creativity with consistency Preferred Experience working with nonprofits or community-based organizations Basic knowledge of analytics and performance tracking Familiarity with content planning tools (Notion, Trello, etc.)
