Social Media Skills Pay:
$28-$30 per hour Part-time position We are seeking a kind, dependable, patient, and capable individual to provide part-time in-home assistance and companionship for my husband, while also helping with light household needs, errands, occasional business and social media tasks, and basic care for our family dog. The primary focus of this position is to be a reliable and supportive presence in our home. My husband has early stages of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, so we are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, attentive, and comfortable assisting an older adult in a respectful and encouraging manner. This is a varied position that would be ideal for someone who enjoys helping people and is comfortable taking on different responsibilities depending on the needs of the day. In addition to helping my husband and assisting with household tasks, I run a small business and am beginning to create more social media and video content. I would appreciate someone who is comfortable with technology and familiar with social media. We also have a friendly, easygoing four-year-old Labradoodle who weighs approximately 30 pounds. She is a lovable, non-aggressive family dog, so the person hired should be comfortable around dogs and willing to help with simple pet-care tasks when needed, such as feeding her and taking her outside.
Responsibilities May Include:
Providing companionship, supervision, and general assistance for my husband Being a dependable presence in the home when I need to attend appointments, run errands, or be away Helping with simple day-to-day needs and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment Light housekeeping and household organization Light meal preparation or assistance with meals as needed Running occasional errands Helping with laundry and other routine household tasks Providing general personal assistance to help our household run smoothly Helping with occasional basic care for our friendly 30-pound Labradoodle, including feeding her and taking her outside when needed Assisting with basic business or administrative tasks from time to time Helping record short videos using a smartphone Assisting with simple video editing, adding text or captions, and posting content Helping with social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Kind, patient, dependable, and trustworthy Comfortable working in a private home Comfortable providing companionship and general assistance to an older adult Willing to assist with light housekeeping and a variety of day-to-day household needs Comfortable around dogs and willing to assist with basic pet care Organized, flexible, and able to work independently Comfortable using a smartphone, apps, and social media Familiar with basic video recording, editing, or posting content online Willing to learn and help with new technology as needed Professional and respectful of privacy and confidentiality Social Media and Technology Skills You do not need to be a professional content creator or multimedia expert. However, we are looking for someone who is comfortable with technology and has some familiarity with social media and basic video content. Experience using platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube is helpful. Familiarity with simple video editing apps, adding captions or text, posting videos, or helping create short-form content would be a plus. This position may be a good fit for someone with experience as a caregiver, companion, personal assistant, household assistant, or similar role who also enjoys technology and social media. We are looking for someone who wants a meaningful, varied, long-term part-time position and who can become a trusted and dependable part of our household support system.
Pay:
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with the possibility of increased compensation as the role develops.
