@theschoolhouse_ahwmh We are looking for a creative, outgoing, and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team and help us capture the fun, personality, and everyday moments that make The Schoolhouse special! This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in social media, content creation, photography, videography, marketing, or communications and is looking to gain real-world experience in a fun, hands-on environment. You do not need extensive professional experience — we are looking for someone with a basic understanding of social media who is excited to learn, create, and grow with us. What You'll Do Help brainstorm and gather fun, engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms Capture photos and short-form video throughout the day Help create Reels, Stories, and other social media content Assist with editing photos and videos using apps such as Canva, CapCut, or similar programs Help bring creative ideas and social media trends to life Encourage staff and children to participate in fun content and step outside of their comfort zones Help showcase our programs, teachers, activities, events, and Schoolhouse community Organize and maintain photos and video content Work closely with our team to develop content that feels authentic to our brand
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Creative, enthusiastic, and comfortable taking initiative Comfortable using Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms Familiar with basic photo and video editing Comfortable taking photos and videos on a phone Great with children and comfortable working in a childcare environment Outgoing and confident enough to ask, "Can we try this for a video?" Comfortable encouraging teachers, staff, and children to participate in content Reliable, responsible, and professional Willing to learn and take direction Interested in gaining experience and growing their skills Experience & Qualifications Extensive experience is NOT required! This position is designed for someone looking to gain hands-on experience.
We are looking for:
Basic knowledge of social media platforms Basic understanding of photo/video content Basic video editing skills A creative eye and willingness to experiment Ability to work independently while also collaborating with our team Previous experience working with children is a plus, but not required Schedule Part-time All hours are on-site Schedule can be discussed based on availability and the needs of the program Why Join Us?
