Job Description

The School of Fashion seeks Social Media Student Workers for Fall '26/Spring '27 to help shape and implement a content strategy aimed at reaching external audiences through social media such as Instagram. This candidate will help shape engagement through building a strong internal community that supports students, alums & Program activities. This candidate may work across programs for full school-wide coverage. As such, they will work with the Program Administrators.

  • Fashion Business Management Responsibilities will include Understanding and contributing to the departmental content strategy Demonstrate skill in graphic design, photography and video content creation Designing social media strategies following the academic calendar Managing, creating and publishing original, high quality content on social platforms Schedule posts pre-approved by the Program Directors and Program Administrators Gather content Administering programs social media accounts to ensure up-to-date content Establish social media guidelines and policies Planning, producing, and publishing around 3 posts per week for the @parsonsaasfashion social media account Documents (via photo + writing / tagging) and promotes events, curricular activities, and student work.
Responding to replies and direct messages on Instagram, et al. Collecting and analyzing data generated by these efforts, and suggesting changes in strategy based on that data A weekly check-in meeting
Hourly Rate :
$18 per hour Number of hours per week: 5-10 hours per week

Responsibilities:
This position supports the department's social media and content strategy by creating and managing high-quality digital content. Responsibilities include developing social media plans aligned with the academic calendar, producing approximately three posts per week, and maintaining program social media accounts. The role also documents and promotes events, student work, and curricular activities through photography, video, writing, and other visual content. Student workers will engage with followers, monitor social media activity, and analyze performance data to recommend improvements to content strategy. The position also includes regular collaboration with Program Directors and Administrators through pre-approved content and weekly check-in meetings. We look forward to receiving your application!
