Job Description

Social Media Intern (Marketing & Communications)
Number of Openings:
1Purpose/Objective of the
Role:
This student will support Ohio Wesleyan Universitys Marketing & Communications team by creating engaging social media content that showcases the OWU experience. The intern will help develop content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Create social media content including graphics, photos, videos, Reels, Stories, and other visual content.

Help brainstorm creative social media ideas and campaigns.

Capture authentic moments and student experiences around campus.

Assist with writing captions and developing social media copy.

Assist with social media content for campus events and special projects.

Stay up to date on social media trends and suggest new content ideas.

Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team and student ambassadors.
Qualifications:
Interest in social media, marketing, communications, graphic design, photography, or content creation.

Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus.

Creative, curious, and willing to try new ideas.

Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other social platforms.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
