Job Description

Student Worker Social Media Management Intern (Fall 26 - Spring 27)
Number of Openings:
1 Purpose/Objective of the
Role:
To serve as a stakeholder in growing the visibility and professional brand of Ohio Wesleyan Esports. This role moves beyond simple posting to help design and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that maintains a consistent, high-impact digital presence.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
Collaborate directly with the Director to develop a seasonal content calendar and long-term social media growth strategy. +2
Consistent Posting:
Establish and maintain a reliable daily or weekly posting cadence across Instagram, Twitter/X, and other emerging platforms.
Brand Stewardship:
Ensure all posts align with a unified OWU Esports voice, aesthetic, and professional branding standards.
Content Creation:
Proactively capture, edit, and curate high-quality photos and videos from practices, matches, and team events.
Promotion & Reporting:
Manage the promotion of team achievements and match results while monitoring analytics to track engagement and follower growth. +1
Campaign Planning:
Assist in the design of specific marketing campaigns for recruitment, tournament cycles, and special campus events.
Qualifications:
Strategic Mindset:
Strong interest in digital media, marketing, or brand strategy.
Creative Execution:
Proficient in creating visually compelling assets using Canva or similar design tools.
Writing & Voice:
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences.
Reliability:
Highly organized and dependable, with the ability to manage a content schedule independently and meet strict deadlines.
Technical Skills:
Experience with video/photo editing.
